Hey everyone! In today's video I talk about a FNAF theory revolving around the FNAF Security Breach Ruin DLC and the newest story GGY from the newest TFTPP FNAF Book. This video was a blast to make, I've never been more confident about a theory. I hope you enjoy :)

Counter-Theory: Gregory is freed from Glitchtrap's control just before the start of the game. Remember the Arcade Conspiracy notes about the employee who became obsessed with the glitched/haunted arcades and started playing them in the hopes of finding out what they were hiding? Just as Gregory frees Vanessa by playing the correct arcade games in the right order, I believe that this employee unwittingly freed Gregory by playing a correct sequence of these arcade games. This would explain why Vanny, the hacked animatronics, and Burntrap are after him in the game despite having all been on the same side during the events of GGY and the therapy tapes.

The books outright state that Gregory is Patient 46, and in the Tales from the Pizzaplex series, there seems to be an attempt to confirm the validity of this lore alongside the actual games. If I recall correctly, one of the books describes a person living inside the Pizzaplex, and the way they depict their life there heavily implies that the Tales from the Pizzaplex book series is connected to the game lore. This would be quite insane, considering there are literal mind control orbs sold to children in the ticket booths and other questionable content in the books. It is disheartening to see the FNAF lore so twisted and mangled, but the way the books are progressing currently makes it a real possibility. Also, here's a fun fact: if the Tales from the Pizzaplex is directly connected to the game lore (a big if), and if the books mention characters like Elainoir, Stichwraith, or the 15-foot thrash compactor Afton, it would mean that the Fazbear Frights series is also connected to the game lore. I hope what I'm suggesting isn't true and that I'm just overthinking things.

Honestly, I genuinely wonder whether the near lack (not _total_ lack, MatPat called it pretty darn quickly using what was there, but there's not much) of evidence for this is because Steel Wool wasn't told beforehand. We know Scott plays things very close to the chest, and in an interview they _did_ mention he gave them stuff to put in that they didn't understand. Plus there's the gender of the translations for the CDs: if it were translators all picking one on their own you'd expect a mix, but instead it's (as I understand it) universal that Patient 46 is referred to with feminine pronouns, which sounds to me like they _did_ ask the devs for clarification and Steel Wool had the wrong answer.

Thats because a lot of languages don't have gender neutral pronouns and they had to pick something. That's such the word alone in Spanish that was used to describe patient 46.

@@johnjordan211 I know, but if each translator picked one at random, you'd expect a mix. And if they asked Steel Wool and Steel Wool knew, you'd expect them all to be masculine. But to my understanding they all use feminine, which suggests to me they did ask Steel Wool which to use, but Steel Wool was wrong. (It's not definite proof, but it makes me a bit suspicious, and Scott is known for not telling people _anything_ he doesn't think they need to know, which includes Steel Wool who have said he sent them things they didn't always understand and said "put this in".)

Well keep in mind that half of them are for Vanessa, so it's not that crazy to imagine that the translators were given the transcripts for all the CDs and they assumed they all had the same subject

@@skelebonez1349 I actually don’t have an exact direct answer with evidence or anything, but I like to think about it as something along the lines of that in a way it’s William because every time he comes back, he comes back with a stronger will to keep doing what he does… Kind of similar to the concept of remnant and agony and how his sheer drive is keeping him going to the point he’s found a way to infiltrate the system as Glitchtrap to continue his bidding since his physical body has become weaker with every fire he miraculously survives from… “mind control” if you will and Glitchtrap being the visual representation of him

@@skelebonez1349 I wouldn’t say that FNAF6 would be for nothing considering UCN came out following after.. it kind of gives the purpose of Pizza Sim that it did trap William in his purgatory/hell of suffering… however considering that even though slim 50/20 is technically possible to beat which could be William escaping said prison.. which then leads to the release of FNAF VR where he shows himself as Glitchtrap like “I’m baaaack” and beginning to lure in other ways and having people sending out animatronics to attack others to spread in AR… so those who follow his bidding are the ones putting him back together/are driven insane ie. Vanessa taking on Vanny, Tape Girl having you put together the tapes again, the guy slicing his face off in the office.. I would argue that FNAF6 is actually crucial in that it brings all the main figures together in one place hence why SB is built over said establishment, you have to go through absolutely everything just to get to that point, it’s the only animated ending of SB, and then William’s Burntrap body is much weaker and needed replacement parts from Glamrock Bonnie :)

Hmmm… that adds to the implications that Gregory might’ve spent a load of time in the secret room perhaps. Sun also asks Gregory when he sees him “where are all your friends?!” As if he was expecting Gregory to have them. He doesn’t even seem phased that Gregory is here at night. Could it be that Sun KNEW Gregory before Security Breach? It seems like the other animatronics do, and Freddy even has a deleted voice line saying he remembers Gregory from something. It’s actually implies some seriously dark stuff. It implies that perhaps Gregory went to the daycare with some “friends” and Sun was none the wiser, and Gregory waited until the lights turned off, (or turned them off himself), and Moon killed the “friends” he brought. The fact that Sun acted so casually about everything and was confused as to why Gregory didn’t bring anybody this time implies that it might’ve been a regular occurrence. Maybe Gregory has a deeper connection with the DA than we thought? It always confused me why Sun came out of the secret room when you first enter the daycare, and yet he doesn’t seem to have any connection to it. Also the connection between Balloon World and Gregory might imply to a Daycare Attendant and Gregory connection because the DA is IN THE GAME. Idk, it’s weird that the DA has so many connections to Gregory now…

OK BUT NOW EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE!! I mean, it explains Gregory’s origins (he had a happy life before security breach but was possessed and given false memories, that’s why he told the therapist that he had bad parents), it explains how the HECK he got in the Pizzaplex, gives us an idea of why he was in Freddy’s stomach hatch (he probably ran there after gaining control again), AND basically everything else regarding Gregory!!! The fact he actually has a background now also makes the “Gregory is a robot” theory a bit less possible, but I’m not so sure. The only question now is… what happens after Security Breach? Does he find his parents eventually? Or are his parents dead, considering the therapist used past tense when referring to them (“you *had* great parents”). Which ending is canon? Does he start a new life along with Vanessa and Freddy, creating that “odd family unit”? Or does he just roam the countryside with Freddy? Does he canonically die?? What if he made it out without Freddy? Is he now just a lost kid who’s life was ruined (yooo) because of Glitchtrap?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Gregory while under Glitchtrap’s control was actually staying down where the second Balloon World game is found. The bedding next to it is covered in stars and just makes me think of how Freddy calls him Superstar, but that might be a stretch ⭐️ ✨ This video has me wondering if Ruin is indeed a sequel, or actually prequel to Security Breach if the girl managed to free Gregory from the Balloon arcade machine, and that’s why he doesn’t work in the main game. Gregory’s consciousness was freed by that point.

He went into silence handing the reins over to Steel Wool or whoever owns Fnaf now after the controversy of his money going towards various political candidates some of which people disagree with for certain issues(I believe there were some anti lgbt candidates). Scott made a statement saying he didn’t support people to be rude to others he supported them if their other policies aligned with his think of like economics or education or whatever (basically no candidate is gonna be perfect), but he would step down since he knew it hurt some people. Now whether or not he truly handed the reins over or if he’s just in the background working on things will probably never be known unless someone at the company makes it known.

You can probably find videos or even links or images of the stuff that happened. Like I just found several internet news sites like Forbes talking about the controversy and him resigning with one search of ‘Scott Cawthon stepping down’ it’s all from 2021. What he is doing now could be different to what he originally stated back then as he could have changed his mind.

It is implied that Afton' Scripted GGY and gave him the Story of the Wizard's favorite Apprentice in his Mind, and that is why Patient 46's Fantasies sound like a Story told "by someone else". Perhaps even the Storyteller (Supercomputer), infected by Glitchtrap, created "Dr.Rabbit" to turn Gregory into a "Child Serial Killer". (Puns.) And of course, GGY uses the arcades to isolate "the Princess" from the A.I network and seal her in a Maze with Afton to protect his Puppets. (Vanessa and Gregory). It is a Fantasy Script overlaying the physical Pizzaplex and Characters in said Pizzaplex.

BBW definitely felt out of place and originally I'm sure it must've played a bigger role, so this actually makes a lot of sense- you don't just throw ONE arcade cabinet in the final boss room, and, conveniently, it's one you can play previously, without a purpose for it-

I actually prefer theories done in a shorter video format since the information that's being provided is more straightforward and in a series like FNAF, this works out simply due to the fact there's so much this franchise has thrown at us that it can be very overwhelming for people. As a result, videos like this allow people to get a better idea of where the theorist is coming from. As for this theory, this is one of the more satisfying ones I've heard in a while. It's not overcomplicated since it's not trying to juggle too many components all at once. It solely focuses on one specific topic.

Such a good theory, I’m surprised this wasn’t picked up in a simpler form earlier on because it really does fit, even without the books supplement lore. I have my own theory about the books. In particular the Fazbear Frights series. I believe they are an in world book series similar to Goosebumps, produced by Fazbear entertainment (or whoever’s running the Fredverse now days). I believe they hired a writer to craft these stories in a manner similar to “hiring an Indy gamer” to make light of events that may or may not have happened. It would explain why some stories hold some elements of supplementary lore info while others are entirely inconsequential. Hiding elements of truth in childrens horror stories to hide tragic real life events and muddy the waters of what is and what isn’t real. It would also explain why book characters appear on the Arcade cabinets in SB.

This past year of lore theorizing for this series has been the most confusing it's ever been, even for a fan since the days of FNaF 2 like me. Most of the theory videos I've seen since Security Breach's release range from outright lunacy, to having bits and pieces of something meaningful, but missing important details (yours included sometimes lol). So, I'm incredibly relived to say that this video right here, for the first time in a long time, actually made some of the modern lore make sense to me. I really like this theory, especially because it doesn't just put a face to patient 46, but also a motivation. The problem I always had with it being Gregory, or whoever, was that we had no idea why. But him being possessed by Glitchtrap makes total sense of it, it's Afton wanting to keep a closer eye on Vanessa from the outside. Also explains the killings, since Afton is basically the only one who's ever actually murdered someone (plus the animatronics, but they were looking for revenge, so killing therapists wouldn't have made sense)

1. I feel like Gregory would have been reveled to be P46 in Ruin as well. 2. I'm pretty sure the reason PQ sets Vanessa free is because it's implied that Cassidy possesses those games, and she is freeing her.

I feel like the reason lore in Security Breach is so confusing and requires the books to figure out is because SteelWool/Scott did not plan for SB to launch in such a buggy state. The Ruin DLC was probably planned to release much earlier, rather than dedicating so much of last year to patching the base game. My guess is they planned for the DLC to launch last summer or this past winter, so we only would have been confused for 6-12 months or so, and these recent book releases would have come out just to help confirm theories.

When you said you were incredibly confident on this theory, I was a little weary, but this actually makes so much sense it’s insane. However, I think the elephant in the room is Patient 46 being a girl per international translations. I’m not against being convinced that maybe it’s just a translation error, but it is a ridiculously large oversight if that is the case.

Again, I’m basically right there with you believing Gregory is patient 46, I just think it’s really dumb that they didn’t think about the translation.

That makes perfect sense when you think about the Afton ending. Vanny and Gregory each have the same subconscious goal under Glitchtrap’s control - get a powerful body for Glitchtrap to control. Vanny proceeds to look for Afton’s original body and reconstruct that, whereas Gregory proceeds to upgrade an existing animatronic, that being Freddy. Alot of the drawings in the post it note room still feel Charlie oriented (see “read more”) Not to mention the door to that room is literally labelled “Charliedoor” in the games texture files Paired with her seeming absence from the Blob, I actually think Charlie might be the girl on the poster for Ruin - Multiple drawings of gift boxes - Multiple notes about “friends” (Charlie remembering the other victims) - References to Freddys (balloons, pizza, kids in party hats, a nightguard etc) - Note that says “grown ups only” (a reference to the original animatronics only attacking adults, not kids) - Note that says “no hide” (i.e - being brave, just like the Puppet, who singlehandedly took care of the other children) - References to cake (the “Take Cake to the Children” minigame…one note even has the word “share” next to a slice of cake) - Notes that say “green, yellow, blue, red” (exact colours of the other childrens bracelets from the Security Puppet minigame)

YOOOOOO Was not expecting to see my video brought up today XD All around this is a really neat idea. My one issue is that Vanessa definitely seems to know about Glitchtrap and that she's helping him based on how panicked she gets when she says she knows he's watching her and that she's supposed to keep her costume a secret in the therapy tapes, but I do definitely think there are some memory shenanigans going on. Plus the whole thing about Gregory being a skilled enough gamer to beat BB's Balloon World to get infected by Glitchtrap is a really cool idea! Great work :D Edit: I will also say, MatPat did make a whole video on Gregory being Patient 46 before any of the Tales books came out, and I believe I suggested it as a possibility in my first theory vid where I suggested 46 was one of the missing people on the newspaper, one of which was Gregory, so I wouldn't say it was impossible to figure out it was Gregory. Just probably more difficult than it should have been. Again, great video :D

It is implied Vanessa doesn't know what Glitchtrap exactly did when he is in control, she just knows he did "something". It is also implied that Vanessa was trying to section him off but failed to, and that eventually she gave in. It is like dissociative identity disorder.

Love this theory a lot! Definitely your best one so far, I'm really convinced now that the BB world game is connected to Gregory in someway. Though I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the book take, there were plenty of people speculating Gregory to be 46 before GGY, it was definitely a conclusion you could arrive to just with what the game presented, plus it's not like this is a new thing. Everyone seems to forget that William Aftons name was fisrt revealed through the books, I don't see how Gregory being revealed to be 46 through the books is any different. I personally like it that the books are being given more importance

Hey I notticed something while listening to the daycare music. Someone made a music box version which made me realize the tune was.... awfully familiar. The title of the song is Leaf and Opti. Its weirdly familiar to the daycare music and mirrors whats happening in the daycare. I have a feeling they chose the tune for the daycare as a subtle hint as to what to expect in their level. Please look at it even if you don't talk about it. Its really interesting.

(Spoilers) Since Gregory is patient 46 and GGY, then he's gotta be "Greg" from the GGY story too, as it is implied that Greg is GGY in the story. This theory explains how he contacted those school counselors and had appointments with them and the missing people on the newspaper, as the counselors worked at his school and were lured into the pizzaplex. Once again, great job!
