Could be muscle to protect Jess if things go bad. Could be a friend for her to talk to if the mark blows her off and she needs to reset without exposing the lottery ticket guy before it's time for the next mark. He also acts as a listener to Jess and the mark and then signals to the lottery ticket guy when to approach the table. In reality though he could have also been the one they call to verify the winning numbers depending on how you run the scam.

@Deadganon9 жыл бұрын
Shappy I dont even tell the cashier that she paid me more money then she should of at the store.... so it isnt really being a dick... its more of being a opportunist. Red flags would be flashing for me on this so I dont know if i would fall for this scam or not but in games and other situations in real life, I dont feel bad when I dont say you over paid me or you paid a losing hand at the casino.... I'm not doing anything wrong, Im not lying, I just not correcting their mistakes...I figure people wouldnt say anything if the shoe was on the other foot so why should I say it. People also might justify saying something cuz of karma... but what if it's cuz of karma that this OPPORTUNITY is happening and giving you free money and you just wasted it trying to create that karma.... People often dont look at karma working that way but karma can work any way that is possible.

I can't believe that there are people who would fall for this. Two seconds after she sat down I would have been suspicious. Moreover, her low cut dress isn't going to suddenly make me an idiot. On top of that, unless she suddenly became my wife of over two decades, another woman isn't exactly the proper bait for me. Finally, when good looking women speak using that condescending tone as though they can get me to do anything, I get disgusted and can't wait to get away from them. I've taught my daughter (and sons but this specifically concerns women) she should talk to people in the same manner in which she want to be spoken and should never try to be cute when asking me for things because it won't work. But all of this aside, there isn't the slightest chance in the universe that I am buying anything for any amount of money from a stranger and I would have seen through this nonsense immediately. I would have played along for the entertainment and laughed at them after. I'm not saying I can't verify scammed. I'm positive I could be and I'm not naive enough to believe I'm not vulnerable but this is comical.

+ludocrat No amount of alcohol is going to make me suddenly want to worship a woman, especially one who isn't my wife, the woman with whom I've been for almost twenty-two years. I truly have no interest in other women and her attempt to use her tits to change that would be like her trying it on a gay man. Believe it or not, all men don't do anything a pretty woman tells them to do and I fail to see how the amount of alcohol I've consumed changes that. I'm not a teenager and haven't been for decades. I have self control.
@Ingens_Scherz8 жыл бұрын
Ed Gloss Lol. What a winner you are.

Andre Gunadi That is not what happened. But if a woman sat down next to me and made conversation I wouldn't be suspicious at first even if this strange thing happened - and, of course, assuming I wasn't half drunk. No matter what you super heroes (with surprisingly low self-esteem) say, none of you is immune to a professional con. You've just never been the victim of one yet. What I would NEVER do is screw the other guy who (I was being conned into believing) won all that money no matter how much it was. That's where I KNOW the con would fail with me and I am proud of that. Then again, that's why I would be dumped as a mark - they'd figure it out pretty quickly that I was not a crook like them.

I would say this specific scam is pretty easy to accomplish and has a pretty low risk factor, so for people considering crime as a source of income it may be worth it. most people make nowhere near that much in the first place but I guess you are right in a sense, it just depends on the person I guess.
@bluelady41837 жыл бұрын
You have to tell the lotto where you bought the ticket how you paid for it and what day it was purchased on a big win!!!
@nybiggs9 жыл бұрын
I've heard of this scam but had a hard time believing people fell for it. Seeing it in action it is definitely far more believable with the telephone recording. Thankfully with everyone having a smart phone it's pretty easy to go on the internet and verify real numbers instantly.
@nybiggs9 жыл бұрын
***** Well color me stupid. I saw the ticket was faked but was thinking they used a fake call line to match the numbers. Guess the only way to know for sure is to scan the ticket. Hard thing to do since you don't want the ticket seller to know how much the ticket is worth. This scam is even more ingenious than I realized. A lot of the scams they portray on this show are fluff but this one is damn good. Good thing this scam is well known now. I heard about this many years ago.
