I had to draw near to Him, I had to repent and believe Him first (by His grace of course) but I had to DO something, and that is to Repent and Believe...Now, I EXERCISED MY FREE WILL and He worked with me to achieve my Salvation, but the truth is He empowered me to FREELY CHOOSE Him, rather than Satan or my Self!

Isaiah 45:7 "The One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these." I don't deny this for a second. He is in full control, He allows suffering to occur... it's been weeks since I've reviewed this video but I believe you missed it when Lennox confirmed this. Anyone studying the word knows that the troubles and turmoil on this earth are due to the fall of man, refer to Genesis.

SUFFERING When you meet suffering, contemp, ...the cross, your thoughts should be: what is this compared to what U deserved? Are yousuffering some great tribulation? Do you have reverses? Say very slowly, as if savoring the words, this powerful and manly prayer: "May the most just and most lovable will of God be done, be fulfilled, be praised and eternally exalted, above all things. Amen. Amen". I assure you that you'll find peace. You suffer in this present life, which is only a dream, and a short one at that. Rejoice, because your Father God loves you so much, and if you put no obstacles in his way, after this bad dream he will give you a good awakening. Read abd contemplate, God bless us all!! ❤❤❤ all!!

You are partially right although you weren't listening very closely. When he speaks of his relationship with God he speaks of it being real through trusting Christ. He will speak for hours, and likely days on the evidence for the resurrection of Christ. He speaks of Christ dying on the cross "therefor God has not remained distant from our pain but entered into it."

Secondly, (and I'll admit, this is my own amateur observation) but no one ever seems to address the fact that in each of these experiments, the participants are told explicitly instructions to follow. So in essence, wouldn't that mean that what the scientists are seeing in the brain, could be both a subconscious AND conscious response to previously stated instructions...?

God has to allow His children to 'burn forever', if they so please to. As a side note it is important to know hell is described as eternal fire, but that is not the description situation, since hell is also described as utter darkness. We really should address the social acceptance of large numbers of people speaking a fantasyland vocabulary & openly indulging in the deceit of religious belief as a tool of fascism. These are the wolves in sheep's clothing, we know them by their works: A wicked generation seeking signs when Jesus The Nailed says faith is worthless if you can't move mountains by issuing verbal orders to one. Freud wrote the antidote to Christianity is literacy. The Christians slapped their books on the Old Testament, & the Mormons glued theirs on to them both, thus proving Christians lack quality-control. Look at the verbose podium jockey speaking of faith & prayer as if we all should have a preference for travel with one foot in fantasyland. Nothing fails like prayer in a children's hospital, & there is talk as if God does not have a perfect record of doing nothing, as if we had no reason for the saying: God helps those helping themselves. A house divided cannot stand. We vote because Christians have no quality-controls, & we desire those governing not making suggestions travel is best done with one foot in someone's fantasyland. 'Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.'' It was secular law & order ending the inquisitions & witch-killings. One might expect a deity to make itself known to everyone without work performed in interpretations of old literature by guys like our verbose podium jockey. Theologians acquire grand titles without certification from a deity, & project certainty using fantasyland vocabulary in an academic setting to compensate for lack of reason.

When the Bible was translated into English it was the Greek Septuagint that was used to translate the Old Testament into English and the Greek word for virgin in Isaiah 7:14 is παρθένος (Parthenos) which literally means Virgin. Virgin is the literal translation into English. It was the Greek Septuagint that the Apostles were using in the New Testament. The Masoretic text where not written until perhaps around the 6th century A.D. The earliest manuscript comes from 10th century A.D.

Third, each of the experiments is observing free will as pertaining motor movement, and essentially "trivial decisions." It has not yet been observed how conscious decision making affects truly important decisions like "What school should I go to?" "Should I marry this person?" "Should I stop smoking now?" Those kinds of decisions are far more difficult to observe in a lab, so I'd say there's still room for free will there.

Well, I can't defend Lennox view of atonement, because I don't share his view, but I can answer the theological part. It would first be important to understand the trinity, in order to understand what Lennox says about God being God and God being God the Son. It is also important to take the hypostatic union of Jesus into account in these matters. So, where would you like to being? With the trinity or the hypostatic union?

Those whom God saves, God keeps;Philippians chapter 1v6 says; "He that began a good work "Salvation" will finish it until the day of Jesus Christ" So if the work is not being finished as evidenced by their "Turning away" then that's because God never began it and it was a work of the flesh

I think of the Trinity in the way we understand mathematics, that is, you can remove an infinite set from an infinite set and still have an infinite set. God has communicated with mankind in the Bible but also through our own consciousness (the mind's eye or transcendent intuition).

jannmutube - FAITH IS REQUIRED TO RECEIVE CHRIST; ITS REQUIRED BY GOD. GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES INTO HIM SHALL NOT PERISH, BUT RECEIVE ETERNAL ( DIVINE) LIFE .

God is totally selfless as demonstrated by the cross to the point of pain and suffering and even death, whereas man is selfish to the point of avoiding pain at all cost because of his great love toward himself...God is filled with love to the other parts of the trinity, never to himself; Jesus always honored the Father, not himself; the Holy Spirit when he comes, Jesus said, will not speak of himself but will bear witness of me...Each member of the trinity points to the other part of the trinity

... correctly and that the accounts in the Bible are true and part of history. My hope is that the originals are eventually found, signed by the orator after the scribe had completed the writing.

Yes. Romans chapter 12v2 says; "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the "washing" of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" 2nd Corinthians chapter 2v14 says; "The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned" Romans 8v7 says;"The carnal mind is enmity against God, and is not subject to the law of God"

He dealt very unsatisfactorily with the question of godly genocide in the OT. Very, very disappointing. Therest... very fine. Pity.

I think this video sums up my opinion on this pretty well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWLMeXmKiJWYr9U Notice that is just a concept drawing, I don't agree with Pipers view that hell is eternal suffering.

Lately, I've been wondering if God really gives a damn about all of the suffering in this world, or if he is too "omni" to even care

If you watched this video you can understand why God allows suffering (evil) to occur. Our human understand of good and evil is most likely very different from God's knowledge. We do know he has a list of commandments that ought to be followed. Christ repeats them in the New Testament.

What I believe you don't understand about Christianity or the belief in God, is that believing in God and what Jesus has done is more than saying words. It's not words for a get out of jail free card, this isn't Monopoly. I can't say who goes to heaven or hell, but God knows our hearts and He will read our hearts on the day of judgement.

I wonder if any christian parent (prof. Lenox included) allowed his child to be burning forever just because the child would chose to live without his/her parent. THIS IS THE DARK SIDE OF GOD'S LOVE N JUSTICE; OF GOD BEING SELFISH NOT SELFLESS.

Hebrew is different. The word for God in Hebrew is Elohim and also is a noun, which may surprise you to learn is actually a plural word. However, it is translated into English as singular as the verb 'Bara', meaning to create, is used in the singular, masculine. It actually reads "He created". We take the English word "God" since when the Jews translated their Bible in Greek they used the Masculine, Singular word. Elohim doesn't really mean God, it means powers or powerful ones.
