Mufti named one of his daughters ... Layla. She is in one of his videos from a few years ago. Fortunately for her, she doesn't have Muftis looks. She must take after her Mum.

Can you tell me what the lower the gaze actually mean in Qur'an. Cause some lustful thought pass
@IndependentIslamicRepublic
@IndependentIslamicRepublic 2 жыл бұрын
Brother asked a good question 😂…. People take this too far. Lower gaze means to control your desires. Doesn’t mean to look at a woman’s feet all the time. It’s not practically possible to look at the floor when a woman’s around. How would one interact at work? School? So on. Wahabis take it literally, just like how they take the idea of God having one hand and a leg literally.

@@IndependentIslamicRepublic it doesn't just mean that. It means, for instance, don't stare into women's faces unnessecarily. This woman's experience is a good example of how we muslims should 'lower our gaze'. "I had a Muslim labourer working in my house once and in a day when my husband was not home and he had to discuss an issue with me, he did not once look at my face. I thought I would’ve felt offended by this but in all honesty it actually felt very respectful and made me feel like he was honouring me… it was a very strangely nice feeling.. I can’t explain it exactly but I’ve never felt more respected when talking to men. It wasn’t like he was trying to ignore me, we had a full and engaged conversation concerning the matter he was informing me on and I gave him instructions which he went on to follow precisely and I did not for a moment feel he was patronising me or being condescending towards me… like I said, bizarrely “nice” to be treated with true respect for a change."
