About Steve Del Savio:
Steve Del Savio is the CEO and Founder of The Maddie Ranch & Pack Leader Dogs located in New Jersey, USA. His passion for animal behavior, specifically dogs, began in childhood and has progressed to his full-time passion and eventually, career. After a severe arm injury ended his plan to play professional baseball and a brief time working in construction as back-up plan, Steve decided it was time to make a change.
He began studying dog behavior and training extensively during his spare time, eventually leaving his career in construction to start Pack Leader Dogs, where he walked packs of 10-15 dogs for years all over the city environment of Hoboken, NJ which progressed over a decade to teaching clients from around the world how to achieve an amazing relationship with their dog with great success. Steve has worked with many celebrities and influencers and is the go-to dog professional in the New York City Metropolitan area of the United States.
Steve's approach to dog training focuses on helping people in understanding Dog Psychology, the way a dog’s mind sees the world, which he believes is often overlooked by other trainers, behaviorists and Veterinarians. He focuses on teaching humans how to lead their dogs, much like parents would lead their children. He has helped thousands of humans and dogs achieve a balanced relationship with their dogs, and his customized approach is tailored to each dog's individual energy and the owner's goals.
Steve built The Maddie Ranch, an 8-acre dog resort to be a destination for both humans and dogs seeking balance and harmony in life and with their dogs. The Ranch offers an exclusive Adventure Camp (day camp for Ridgewood and Hoboken, NJ) and members only Luxury Boarding Program that provides clients with peace of mind knowing their dogs are in a beautiful natural setting, under with a team of dedicated trainers. The Ranch also offers a proprietary Puppy Enrichment Program that is focused on socialization, exposure and training which helps owners prevent and issues from arising and has produced tremendous results.
Steve's extensive experience working with a wide range of behavior problems and clients has allowed him to achieve amazing results, even with dogs that have failed to respond to other veterinary behaviorists and dog trainers in the past. His goal is to help clients truly understand their dogs through Dog Psychology and provide a game plan that sets both the human and the dog up for success.
