I’m just here to read the comments of how much better life for kids was back then. You know, where toys taught children things like chemistry, creativity and how to light up a fattie…

I think this promotional video was a last ditch effort by the Gilbert Toy Company to save the company. The owner died in 1961. The company died in 1967.

The riff masters! That was really funny. Classic MST3K style of riffing! I know it was impossible for you guys to stay on the show forever, but the best years of mst3k riffing was Joel and you guys. I'm still laughing at all the shows you've done. Glad to see your cameo on Svengoolie too! The magic you two had with Joel and Kevin was awesome comedy!

Toys were a lot less safe in the 60s, weren't they? Sure, you've heard cases of kids getting burned by a Thing Maker. But what about the more dangerous toys? Ever seen a kid take a Wing Thing to the gut? Not a pretty sight.
