Little Big planet 2's logic system is legitimately the reason why I'm a software engineer today. This game made me realize how much i loved creating things and problem solving in general. It will always be my favorite game, and Media Molecule will always be my favorite studio. I really wish I could thank them in a way that was meaningful...

This is exactly how I feel. I think that game in particular with instrumental to where I am today and my career path also. I used to build 3D cars using all kinds of glitches and fine details which would take months at a time. People actually paid me for those objects and I went directly from there to 3D modelling on computer. Really great to hear your story and that there are many others who look back on this game as fondly as me... cheers.

Honestly, I feel like level builders aren't treated with nearly enough respect as they deserve. Mario Maker is a jam, but the fact it didn't come with a singleplayer, multiplayer and barely a way to share levels was a huge gamble on Nintendo's part. _Meanwhile,_ Little Big Planet was *DOING THIS YEARS IN ADVANCE.*

Lbp3 only on Ps4 has some old levels from 1 and 2 and you can play online but it's pretty dead, only like 2 people play levels at a time and people never accept join requests. Thank you SO MUCH for talking about this! This game is absolutely in the top 5 best games for me. I remember making so many levels, playing all those bomb survivals, heck most of the levels in this video I PLAYED. I adore this game so much. Thank you for bringing it back to life. The levels I've played (If you'd like to know about the levels shown in the video): 1:41 2:01 2:03 2:19 (An absolute classic- level got copied by pretty much everyone and played by pretty much everyone.-Skateboard level) 2:22 (roller coaster w/ lights that changed from night to day) 2:26 (Of course- shark survival extreme) 2:37 (Bomb survival- angry birds, minecraft, whole bunch of them.) 2:38 (Tsunami survival- my favorite out of the survivals) 3:08 a 1st game level- the bulldozer level. (Was the most intense thing ever for me) 3:10 -Tutorial level. 3:46 Da Vinci level 3:47 Avalonia level I think? (Can't remember much) 3:51 Last level of the 2nd game (The struggle back then made me rage) 3:53 Victoria Von Bathysphere train level 3:57 Basically the 2nd game's parody of the bulldozer chase in game 1. 4:01 Among the last levels of the 2nd game 4:03 Factory of a better tomorrow level 4:06 Skateboard level again 4:10 Eve's asylum level 4:13 Last level again 4:16 Among the last levels of the 2nd game- Saving Avalon 4:19 Da Vinci level 4:21 Avalonia level..? 4:24 Factory of a better tomorrow level 4:27 Victoria Von Bathysphere level 4:29 Among the last levels of the 2nd game 4:37 Factory of a better tomorrow level 4:49 Community level- GOSH DANG IT I FORGET WHAT ITS CALLED (Its a really good level, too.) 5:17 The go to level whenever you dive in and dont know what to play. Jeff the killer by Crimson Fang 5:23 Wolfs life- a rpg with a whole bunch of features. You can even have pups. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LBP3 - Never played it, never will. Gotten reviews from friends of it being hecka laggy, wont load, or anything. Also, its not from Mm. I'm tempted to, though, because it has a freakin bird. And a dog. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7:11 Last Avalonia level- I think. 7:14 Avalonia tutorial level 7:19 Da Vinci level 7:32 Da Vinci - one of the first levels. I think its Grab and Swing? 7:58 Da Vinci level 8:09 The first level of the first game- or second level. 8:12 Shark survival ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry if this was really unnecessary. Just wanted to show what I knew about levels and hope to help people find them. Thanks if you've even read this, and please don't forget about this game.

In my personal opinion, the "Little Big Planet" games are probably some of the greatest of all time on console. Even though I've only played the 3rd one and it's been years and years since I played that, I was still glad to see that I could visit the levels in the earlier games (I am not saying this as in to be disrespectful towards the 3rd one, it also had a lot of really good material and content provided with it), that the more OG players likely had a blast with as well. I can still very clearly remember the good old days when I'd spend days and nights in my room on the couch, playing the game with many of my friends and generally just having plain, pure fun. Even though it's only been a few years, I still find some of the strongest feels of nostalgia from even seeing anything related to the games and I hope that eventually we'll even get some of the games for PC so that it's easier to access now that my old PS3 has had it's final moments. As a finisher for this comment, even though I wasn't able to be there from the very beginning, the LBP games are still a very great part of my childhood, still giving me very strong senses of nostalgia, and are probably some of the greatest games to come out during the time of this generation.

I remember when i was 8 and my pappa brought in that LittleBigPlanet game for the ps3..I used hours upon hours upon hours playing it, i finished the story multiple times, but never really got into the multiplayer section. And when my dad came home with LittleBigPlanet 2 after a year of playing LittleBigPlanet, it's safe to say i was hyped. Everything became so much more complex, the storymode was FANTASTIC! And i finally saw how awesome the community made levels were! Sadly when LittleBigPlanet 3 came out, i didn't have a ps4, so the only way for me to play it was by lending it on the library, and playing it on my dads ps4, for about 30 minutes. Safe to say it did NOT have the same feeling, but nonetheless an okay game.

The first video game I ever played, and the most important video game I ever played. I cry whenever I hear those Stephen Fry intros. P.S. I don’t really see the reason in shitting on LBP 3. It’s just as good as the other two, although some of the more recent community creations may be a tad bit cancerous. It has possibly my favourite story mode of all three games.

Lbp3 took away the main parts that made Lbp fun imo: The creation. No point in making wings, or using the grappling hook when you can already fly. No need in making items that let you shrink and grow when your character can do that already. And so on and so forth. Idk, they just took away a lot of the imagination imo. Plus the game was buggy as hell, I still never got my Lbp2 DLC back AND ps+ literally divided the community. Which left us mostly with Fnaf community levels.

Crippling Depression In a bottle Too bad, Latin player aka Ayee, is one of the most public figures of LBP, without him, the game would receive far fewer new players, which it desperately needs due to a dwindling playerbase.

@itsyurmumm8458 5 жыл бұрын
Crippling Depression In a bottle No, I said ‘too bad’. I actually met him, after inviting him. It was... odd to say the least. He made several accounts; the dead creator, rotaerc daed eht, and ayee something. He named his KZbin after the Ayee account (Ayye Gaming). He has made consistent LBP content/videos on KZbin. As sad as it is, the very guy who copied LBP into oblivion, has enough of a fan base/subscriber base, and makes enough videos to draw in new players into LBP. Ironic that the guy who effectively ruined the game, is one of the few who can draw in many new players into it, therefore giving it life.

Crippling Depression In a bottle I always hated the copy features and H4Hers. It drove me mad how I could make decent creations, and decent levels, but had around 60 hearts. While people who H4Hed had trash levels (mostly) and people who copied couldn’t make levels and have 10x as much hearts. Really destroyed a lot of the community.

My absolute favorite game when I was younger. Just playing it after school or during the summer on my ps3 was so much fun and such a big moment of my life. And re-listening to some of the soundtracks from it like 'My patch' and 'Get It Together' was the most nostalgic feeling ever. This was also one of the first games I ever played so it really was incredible going back to it after a while. In the game, I never knew how the online levels were able to make such good hair, then I realized that the hair was actually just made of sharp teeth. I remembered a game where you would be able to work at different jobs and build your house from a campervan to a mansion, though I just mostly robbed the bank in that level. The bomb games actually had an end to it, if you reach the bottom you would be able to find the finish line. It really surprised me as a child when the glass broke in some online games.

I remember getting LBP for my birthday. Me and my friend became hooked and stayed up all night playing levels and building whatever we could come up with. Over the course of LBP I made a ton of online friends and still remember some of their gamer tags to this day. The constant addition of new content in the LBP store was great, stuff like the water update was so cool. When LBP2 was announced, it was amazing, the feeling of hype was insane, and when LBP2 released it was even better than everyone had hoped. Some of my fondest memories in gaming happened in LBP. My favorite levels were those ones made by Steve_Big_Guns.

I have so many fond memories of Little Big Planet with me and my older brother. The intro made us feel like there was so much to unravel and that our imagination could literally take us ANYWHERE we wanted. Seeing the space ship and the controller would be the coolest thing ever to us for some reason. We’d mess around in the creative mode, make challenge courses, try to make figures we had irl, or make stuff that’s in other games like a diamond sword while talking about Bionicle, singing Tobuscus’s nugget in a biscuit, and SkyDoesMinecraft. Everything to the courses/levels, designs of levels, the NPC’s, the overall vibe of the game- EVERYTHING just seemed so perfect. Playing it just seemed so nice, back when we were both just filled with such bliss. That was 7 or 8 years... and I’m sure nostalgia is DEFINITELY pulling some heart strings that elevates the game more for me. Honestly, looking back to those wonderful memories makes me smile from ear to ear- full of happiness. My brother is in college now, and soon I’ll be a senior. It’s crazy how it feels like only a few months ago was when we played little big planet. Time sure does fly...
