In this video, I reveal the magic card trick that fooled Albert Einstein. This is a really powerful magic trick that is easy to do because it is practically self-working. It will give you the ability to guess how many cards are in a pile just by weighing it with your hand!
If you have any questions please ask me in the comments section below. Cheers!
Note: The original trick was performed with coins, not cards, but effect and prediction are exactly the same.
Stay magical,
Oscar

Einstein said that it's impossible because he assumed that the magician knew as much as Einstein did about the deck, and with only that knowledge it would be nearly impossible, but little did he know that the magician knew more about the deck than Einstein did, (the fact that there's an amount of bent cards to realize).

Fun fact, some people actually practice weighting different amounts of cards. What I'm saying is that this trick is possible without any setup, if you've practiced the weight of cards enough.

52-Ceinstein=Cremaining Cremaining-C1=Cdiscarded Combining those two equations: 52-Ce-Cd=C1 52-Ce-C1=Cd C1-Ce-2-x=0 Ce+x=20 That is the system we get. So: Adding the systems we get, C1-2=20 C1=22 ------- Norming, 52-Ce-C1=Cd If C1=22, Then: 52-22-Ce=Cd 30-Ce=Cd The cards chosen must always be less than 30, but if C1 is 22, then certainly less than 2 minus that, ie. 20, and the difference between the amount of cards taken by Einstein and the packet put on the table must be 30. This is operating under the assumption that C1 is 22.

"I cannot plan to tell you how many card we both randomly cut off, but I can tell you the difference the number of cards that we both cut off". However, the answer is y = x + 2 + (x - 20) or y = 22, and x is irrelevant. Or in other words, "I can tell you how many cards I have, and that's it". It is hard to imagine that Einstein would not see this in a second.

Brother I have a small improvment to this trick. We can simply avoid the '+2' cards. Just take and fold 20 cards instead of 22 cards in the beginning. Then while performing trick,you can say "I have the same number of cards as you have plus enough cards to make up to 20." We can simply avoid the use of that +2 cards;it feels unnecessary. I think that would make the trick more fun. People may get confused with the +2 cards. Hope you like it brother. Please reply me if you got it. Peace out :)

Camera is a Nikon D7000. Shot in 1080p 25fps. Software is Premiere Pro and Aftereffects. The most important thing is lighting - get a scene - buy a set of lights and lay around until they loon great. I then shot the video in SLOG and edited the colours on premiere pro. I put it on after effects to add a few artificial light rays etc. Then added music and dramatic voice over after 💪🏻

Technically Einstein was correct when he said it isn't possible. Because the magician does not disclose all information about the deck. It's like saying "I bet I can put 30 grapes in my mouth", then u pull out a box of raisins and say "I told u I could do it".

The easiest way to perform this trick is that you don't have to count of and pend 22 cards but you do tell the spectator to take punch cards less than half of the cards or as much as 20 cards. As he takes some cards look at his cards carefully (without letting him to notice that) to make sure he took less than 20 cards then take more cards than he took. After that tell that you will only count your pile, and for example you got 27 cards and you think that your spectator has less cards than 24, pick up your pile and pick up his pile and feel how much heavy they're (pretending to be weighting the cards), put down the two piles and say like this; "I have as many cards as you plus 3 and the rest will make your pile 24". If he has 18 you put 18 from yours plus 3 and the rest which is 6 will make his cards 24.
@alexismandelias
@alexismandelias 6 жыл бұрын
I figured it out in a couple of minutes using maths. I thought that if Einstein would take one less, the performer would need one more to reach 20. So all you have to do is make sure that you have 22 cards

What you are basically saying: "I have 22 cards on this pile", but indirectly. This sentence: "I have as many cards as you plus enough to bring your total to 20." is equal to this one: "I have 20 cards" . Some people might get what you are saying. That 'two extra cards' part is here just for that reason and it did fool me!

A mathematician should have been able to figure part of the trick out. As soon as you said how many cards you had my mind immediately went: spectator has X cards. Magician has X + 2 + (20 - X) which of course solves to 22. So I knew the magician somehow made sure that he would always cut 22 cards off the bottom, but, not being a magician, I was not sure how he accomplished that. And I suspect that Einstein probably would not have been able to figure it out either, especially since he is not given the chance to inspect the cards before the magician either removes the "bow" he put in the bottom 22 cards, or gives the deck a real shuffle..

U can go with this trick further... 1 just don't bend the whole 22 cards .bend the corner of the 20th card from the bottom .... 2 ask him to choose any number between 15 and 25 .. 3 . Secretly steal from the bottom pile enough cards to make a total of the chosen number if it is less than 20 , feel lucky if it is 20, or simply pinky break enough cards from the top to make the total of that number an perform a classic pass ... now all of this is done while u r just introducing the trick and talking about the birth of the universe.. So technically you are ready to perform without any slight of hand techniques while they are watching ...( remember talking abt gravity from the beginning?). .... Now you have more cards than he does to make a total of [the chosen number ]... If u r afraid they gonna cut more than the chosen number. (...) .. Then work it for yourself ...am not gonna give the law and tell you how to apply it. Good luck.

What baffled me is the fact that you said the spectator cut off 15 cards before you even counted them. But I'm guessing that this wasn't recorded using a live voice. You recorded it, then wrote your script.

I swear I'm telling the truth and I'm not trying to be a wise ass, but I would have chosen only ONE card from the top. I wonder how that would have went. All the best, great channel.

It still would have worked. After the cutting procedure, he always has 22 cards in his hand. He says, "I have as many cards as you." (So he deals 1 card on to the table). He says, "I have 2 cards left over." (Thus he deals 2 cards on to the table). He now has 19 cards remaining in his hand. Those 19 cards, when added to your 1 card = 20.
