As someone that comes from an amateur boxing background and crossing over into Muay Thai with a puncher style I appreciate that this channel really highlights the subtle distinctions between boxing and kick boxing mechanics. Also does a great job explaining why there are those differences and what you can bring over from boxing and certain things that won’t fly in a setting where you can get kicked from head to calf. Very informative channel.

Kickboxing and Muay Thai stance is very different tho the Muay Thai stance can be way shorter than the boxing stance for instance

I'd love to see a breakdown of how Mike Zambidis mixes boxing very well with kickboxing. Maybe a breakdown and a few combos to drill. He had that overhand right and hooks for days!

Higher level boxers will also pivot on the rear foot before throwing the hook instead of pivoting on the front foot while throwing it to avoid ending up to out of position defensively.

Yes you can. It's not as exaggerated, but I've seen many smaller kickboxer use leaping hooks similar to the gazelle punch. You also see superman punches a lot too. There is head movement, but its more reactive in kickboxing. It's more common in MMA Ironically enough, MMA hand striking is much closer to boxing than kickboxing.

Again I do not understand the stance point. thai and kickboxers tend to have much shorter ranges than boxers (have a look at Petrosyan, and Maywetaher, just to give references). Indeed, Thai boxers tend to have shorter and narrow stances to be lighter on the feet and be quicker in the kicking. So I do not understand your remarks. it seems just a fact that it is, by and large, the opposite.
