The Dragon Ball Timeline is one of the more interesting timelines in shonene anime due to the convoluted Time Travel mechanics and numerous time skips - some being more memorable than others - because of the wackiness of Time Travel I will be focusing on the main canon timeline, the one where the story takes place, and for the sake of time unimportant events - like the birth of side characters - as well as non-canon events - such as filler and GT - will not be mentioned.

Technically, due to Trunks heading back in time, a new timeline was created. His timeline is a variable of the one we see, not an absolute. If it were absolute, then regardless of his tampering, Goku would have still died from the heart disease or some other cause and the Androids would have dominated.

@@eternal2469 the jump in power is supposed to happen during his training on the way to Namek. Goku literally trains to near death and then uses senzu beans to recover over and over again. Vegeta explains this when he asks Krillin to blast him so Dende can heal him when fighting Frieza. Sayains are at their most powerful after recovering from a mortal wound.

It first says that broly was exiled 41 years before he came to Earth but from when? if it's from 780 what most people seem to think that would mean that he was exiled in age 739. Goku is 3 years old in the movie after the 5-year time skip which would mean that he was born two years later that would make it age 741 but when Goku is about to land on Earth there is a calendar clock that starts at 737 when he traditionally landed on Earth. If Goku is 3 during that time he lands then that means he had to be born in 734. if you add 36 years (minus the 5) to 737 you get age 773 a year before Majin Buu showed up. if the whole thing happened 41 years before present then that would mean that Goku being born 2 years later would only be 39 but if he was born in 734 because it seemed to show he was sent in 737 that would make him 46 so he's either 4 years younger or two years older than he supposed to be in the movie. never States when Broly got exiled we're just assuming it was 732 because that's when Vegeta was supposed to be born in the guidebooks we have no idea how old broly and Vegeta are in those scenes. the whole movie makes it appear that the saiyans have been in power on planet Vegeta for generations instead of a few years like back in dragon Ball z so the broly movie just messes everything up

The main timeline we see after the Future Trunks saga is the third timeline right? Because there is the first, with Trunks defeating the androids then Cell kills him and the second where Trunks travels from his to the canon one.

Trunks doesn't return to this timeline. Timeline 3: Main Future Timeline (Future Trunks) Timeline 4: Original Timeline- Cell kills Trunks when Trunks is about to go back to the past, stealing his time machine and travelling to Timeline 1 and creating timeline 2 . THIS causes Trunks in the past (around age 784, when he first travelled to the past), to unknowingly enter the timeline Cell was already in. In other words, Trunks was meant to die, but Cell killing him and travelling to the past allowed the main version of Future Trunks to stay alive when he found out about Cell in the main timeline, deciding not to go back to the future to later be killed by Cell like in the original. I think this might be the butterfly effect you spoke of. Timeline 5: Goku Black's Timeline- Zamasu uses the Time Ring to go back 1 year to the past (Age 779), switch bodies with Goku then killing him. Since Goku is currently alive, this creates a separate timeline where Goku is dead. Goku Black then Travels to Trunks' timeline to recruit Future Zamasu. Timeline 6: Beerus doesn't destroy Zamasu- As Goku Black is alive, Beerus destroying Zamasu created a separate timeline where Zamasu didn't get destroyed and turned into Goku Black.

Battle of gods takes place 4 years after the buu saga, videl is pregnant during this time, so it is likely that pan is a new born later that year or the year after. The ending of dbz is stated to take place 10 years after the buu saga or 6 years after battle of gods making pan a minimum of 6 years old. The episode states pan is 5 which wouldn't make sense in the new continuity.

I re-read the chapter of the manga where Cell explains to Piccolo how he got there. Cell states that he came 3 years ago and that it takes him 3 years for him to mature underground. It also says this in the subbed. Cell arrived an extra year before Trunks? That would imply Trunks was planing to go back 4 years to tell everyone he defeated the Androids he hadn't even warned them about because he initially went back 3 years before the Androids appeared. But then again, Trunks says it's been there a whole year before he appeared. This is just another example of bad writing for Toriyama. Either that or the Trunks in that timeline was going into the past for the first time or screwed up his settings.

My theory is that ki is like an alternative to energy. That’s why when Freiza blasted Goku in the ToP, he was all of a sudden able to get up again, and fight. Moreover, the debate whether a kamehameha is actually hot, I may have an answer to. I believe that it would not be hot because you are able to touch it. I think that it would just be like a really heavy object. Also, the reason people evaporate is not due to heat. Kin Kai said himself: *energy and matter are interchangeable.* this could mean that, since ki could be an alternative to energy, they just evaporate. Their matter is turned into energy/ki when they are destroyed.

Technically Goku has has two ages one is his spirit's age and body's age. He was 3 when he came to earth 42 years have pass and if you want to add the room of spirit and time that 319 days so that 43 years passed so that actually makes him about 45 or 46 spiritually but he was dead for seven years so that makes physically 38 or 39.

Okay, this is gonna be complicated but here I go. The timeline from DB to mid DBZ after Frieza's defeat on planet Namek is the main timeline. When mecha Freiza comes to earth, The main timeline Z fighters beat Freiza ( with no help from any "future trunks"). We viewers however don't get to see that happen. After Freiza was defeated, years pass and Goku dies from a heart disease. The rest of the Z fighters were massacred by the androids. Bulma makes her "time machine" which in fact doesn't go back in time, it instead distorts time and space, breaking off into many alternate timelines with different events unfolding in each timeline. The episode where Freiza comes to earth and we first meet "future" trunks is the Alternated timeline. That's right.. till this day, the Goku we know from the beginning is still dead. We are just watching a Goku from an alternate reality. Dragon Ball Goku is forever dead. When Trunks came back home to his mother Bulma after killing Freiza and warning Goku about the androids, He was ambushed and killed by Cell. Cell took his "time machine" and went back to the same alternate timeline we have been watching since it's inception. Because Cell used the "Time machine", he opened up another alternate timeline in which he didn't kill "another future Trunks". "Another Future Trunks" is the man we see when Vegeta, Krillen, Gohan, Tien and Piccolo are fighting Dr. Gero in the rocky mountains. There ya go! DBZ multiverse explained

Ok the original dragon ball manga and resurrection F plus dbs broly is canon as they were all written by akira toriyama. For dragonball super akira toryiama wrote some rough guidelines for toei and toyotarou to create dragonball super, this means that only things that both the manga and anime share are canon, which means all arcs of dbs are canon but anime exclusive details such as super Saiyan blue Kaio-Ken and manga exclusive details like mastered super Saiyan blue are non canon. The dbz movies, dragon ball gt, and bardock father of goku, episode of bardock and plan to eradicate the super sayians are all non canonical as they were produced exclusively by toei not akira toriyama. The canon bardock story is unfortunately dragon ball minus. The history of trunks is weird as it is based of a manga chapter written by toriyama, however some details are non canonical so be careful. Also Yo! Son goku and his friends return! I don’t really know about but tarble is 100% canon coz he was mentioned in dbs broly. This took way too long, hope you enjoy!
