Nice video, the only thing I noticed about the D8 is after about a month I was not able to get to the diagonostic screen without doing the updates 112 in all. My question is, why do you have to do the updates in order to use the diagnostic mode?

Well, after this last update my D8 wired has decided to crap out. Embarrassing after I was bragging on it in one of your earlier posts. I updated and then went out to the 2016 Hyundai Sonata to do a final scan before turning it loose and now the D8 topology says it can't communicate with any of the modules. They are all gray and then I get the check your connections and that the key is in the on position. I also noticed when in the auto scan mode the guages all twitch and then I get a check TPMS and engine light when done. Also every flippin' light in the cluster is on while autos and is running.

Contact Xtool and see the steps to do a factory reset and download all the software again.

@@737mechanic I'm in contact with XTool trying to figure things out. I have tried it on my 2019 Ram 1500 as well and get the same thing - unable to communicate.

Seems like it only works for English language, if you switch it to other langue the menus go blank

@@737mechanic Update: I contacted them, and without even asking for my scanner serial number, they replied back asking me to check for updates. Magically another 245 updates appeared and fixed the issue. Kuddos to they support guys

Hi, according to the spec is says 64gb on-board memory, mine isn’t showing that. Could you do a walkthrough video showing what memory you have on your tool? Thanks in advance. Phil

I could do a video on it but if you click the Home button then click the settings icon which looks like a gear then go to About device it should say Flash 64G. Then to verify that go to storage and add up the total space of the Internal, Total Space for diagnosis, and NAND flash and you should get pretty close to 64GB. The way the OS calculates storage space is different than the way the memory is marked so you won't get to the 64GB but it should be close.

I do not recommend buying it. XTool D8 fails to correct the mileage for most modern Korean, Japanese, American and European chines vehicles also!!

That's a lot of mileage correction. I have only had to correct mileage on 3 different makes and models and it worked great. Now keep in mind this is NOT a dedicated mileage correction tool, in fact as far as I know it is the ONLY scan tool that offers that ability. My Snap-On Verus, Autel, and Launch will not correct the mileage on anything. It sounds like you need a dedicated mileage correction tool, NOT a diagnostic scan tool. It also sounds like you might be doing something illegal.

@@737mechanic Agree. The D8 will change the mileage on the cluster, but it won't change it in the ECU.
