The Hubble telescope has discovered music coming from beneath the frozen seas of Europa. Elon Musk is sending electric cars to Mars. And a skateboard factory was discovered on Pluto.
We’ve transported the Capital L factory back to its origins in San Diego to film this serious account of the making of the Icarus carving longboard. How do we make it? Whom do we make it for? My new Loaded Fat tail is the best board I have ever ridden and now I know why. I have been riding since 1976 and watching Monty Python since 1975. The two streams have now collided, matted with Richard Adenbourgh and created a love child. All is at peace in the universe.

Great video and new board. I love, love, love, my loaded fattail for it's snappy, tight, response pumping. I am 175 lbs and use a flex 2. I tried a Sama flex 1. I liked the flex but the overall pumping response was slower, with larger turns. Got rid of it. I am wondering how this new deck compares.

Hi guys, I am very surprised to see all the process and convinced you are very proud of the quality of your decks, I love the brand. I have only one question, on the profiling milling moment (minute 3:30) we can see a hught amount of waste material, does this be necessary speaking about cost effectiveness, or there are major reasons to do that way?

Thanks and great question. There definitely is more waste than we'd like to see. We are concerned about our environmental impact and see it as a work in progress. We've been making numerous changes (since this video was released) to reduce that waste through a number of different initiatives--including reducing resin use on the periphery of the board and using super sap bio-based resin exclusively on this board. And we're always open to new ideas of course!
