Great point Kris but I’d change the word ‘progress’ to ‘results’. The majority of our results come later and quite rapidly when the ball gets rolling but most of our progress is made in the first 1-2 years when we form the right habits and mindsets

My favorite analogy I've heard for the compound effect is an ice cube in a room that's below freezing. You can adjust the temp 1 degree at a time, and the ice cube doesn't change on the outside. But the temperature is still going up, even if you don't see it. Then, you cross a certain point, and the ice cube starts to melt fast, and then you see the rewards for the things you've been doing.

It's almost a logical fallacy - the real reason they have tons of followers is because they create content for views - the thumbnails where they look shocked and then the video doesn't deliver - or "The last to leave the circle wins" that kind of garbage, it gets views and subs but has zero value outside of entertainment
@Ryan-Horgan
@Ryan-Horgan 3 жыл бұрын
@@1STMAN yeah I've even seen Gary v talk about this. Says you should put out content people want to watch instead of what you want to make. You might get views but you'll be dictated to by a low quality audience and gradually lose more and more of yourself In the process

The words that come out of your mouth are some of the realest shit I’ve heard on YT. I was that same guy that “lifted” for 5-6 years, Covid hit, and I had to buy a squat rack, bench, barbell, pull-up bar, and weights, and just focus on compound lifts instead of all the other bullshit. Literally transformed my body and how I fundamentally train in the span of a year. In a year I went from looking like I “lift” to a bronze level Olympic athlete. The years prior definitely built a nice foundation, but once I dialed in on a specific program and exercises, while actually staying consistent, everything leveled up.

Listen, i'm a 23 year old with inattentive ADHD. You HAVE to learn to use it as an advantage, yes, life isn't easy for us, but focus on the strengths and use those to their maximum potential. Look it up, a bunch of the worlds wealthiest people have ADHD. You have amazing creativity, hyperfocus and have this ability to think differently. Use it, I swear life will get much better for us, as long as we don't get caught up in what we can't control.

Kris I think this video is what has truly connected the dots for me when it comes to some of the things I’ve been able to accomplish. The “secret” to success is what you just talked about. Making those minor improvements and tweaks in your life and executing on them consistently to the point where you wake up one day realizing that your life is good, like the example you gave. It’s all of the momentum that you’ve started, maintained and then grew, to create that compound effect. I’ve understood this concept for a long time but your video just gave me that “everything clicked at once” moment. Superb video!
@1STMAN
@1STMAN 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jordan. Once you have that momentum too, there's an exponential effect - like the position your currently in allows you to see progress monthly, whereas before it was like once every 2 years you improve. Fun times for both of us man, we've built the foundations and everyday just gets better and better as long as we keep working and improving. You ever wondered how far you could go? I think about this often. Like Drake but in shape, just imagine if a man reached a 10 in all areas, I'm not sure it's ever been done - A handsome in shape billionaire. Also email me 1stman@krissturmey.com - I've got a thing I want to set up

Hello mate I’m 18 , 5’10.5 may grow to 5’11 or 6 (my father grew an inch in his 19 / 20 years of age ) I have a good frame ( am a mesomorph ) can see my ab insertions when I flex at 22% bf I have an above average dento-facial structure and am trying to maximise it by mewing and also trying to correct asymmetries I love martial arts . Will get started with Muay Thai as the pandemic ends , I’ve naturally been strong with an ape index of + 2.5 I have always been intelligent ( both books and street ) and clever for as long as I can remember , but due to quarantine , I hit a wall of stagnation . Now I feel I’m not knowledgable . I value knowledge and intelligence , but one without the other is useless . I have recently started to workout and am seeing gains . I wish to have expertise on multiple grounds , computers , electronics , engineering , economics and arts . And I’ve started my journey in achieving those . I also know that 35 isn’t as “old” as I used to think . What else would u like me to invest in ? And any other advice ? You’re filling in the gap my father left in my upbringing, Thanks 🙏 Edit : also psychology and philosophy ( am an Hindu so I’ve an amazing array of ancient knowledge at my disposal at home ) 😎 And realistically how much can one gain (on all fronts) in 17 years ? 🧐

What would you class as a 7 in money? Net-worth and Yearly income?
@1STMAN
@1STMAN 3 жыл бұрын
I spoke about this today to some one - Most underestimate how high a 10 really is. If 10 is the top then 10 is Elon, Bezo's etc. 9 naturally has to be billionaires that have like 1b 2b etc. 8 then has to be the 100m plus club, 7 has to be 10m to 99m club - or a yearly income of around 2m per year. 6 would be 1m to 10m, 5 is hundreds of thousands, 4 is 10's of thousands, 3 is thousands, 2 is hundreds and 1 is broke/in debt
@antiherojourney6344
@antiherojourney6344 3 жыл бұрын
@@1STMAN I also had this debate a while back. Considering simply living in the western world makes you top 1%... a 7 technically wouldn’t need to be millions. Even the people you classed as 1’s are rich to most people around the world who survive hand to mouth. But in the western world alone, you scale holds up 100%
@antiherojourney6344
@antiherojourney6344 3 жыл бұрын
@@1STMAN ive also seen a scale of looks for men and women based on aesthetic analysers.. and a 7 in their eyes is shockingly good looking. So it appears that 7 seems an easy number to achieve, but it’s not. Hence why an all round 7 is an impressive man. Not to mention a 7 in status.

A net worth of $93,170 U.S. is enough to make you richer than 90 percent of people around the world, Credit Suisse reports. The institute defines net worth, or "wealth," as "the value of financial assets plus real assets (principally housing) owned by households, minus their debts." More than 102 million people in America are in the 10 percent worldwide, Credit Suisse reports, far more than from any other country. You need significantly less to be among the global 50 percent: If you have just $4,210 to your name, you're still richer than half of the world's residents. And it takes a net worth of $871,320 to join the global 1 percent. More than 19 million Americans qualify, Credit Suisse reports.
