Oh yes, the 60s ... flower power. Two other well-known songs by them are "Monday, Monday" and "Dream a Little Dream of Me".

According to Wikipedia, "the song was written in 1963 while John Phillips and Michelle Phillips (two of the band members) were living in New York City during a particularly cold winter, and she was missing sunny California." The song was included in the Rolling Stone's 500 greatest songs of all time and inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2001.

I know they looked like the characters on scooby doo, but they truly had a lot of talent when together

Incredible harmonies. John Philips (the one with the guitar) wrote this for his wife Michelle (the tall blonde) when they were spending time in N.Y. and she was missing California. She said she was dreaming when they could go back.
