You really hear how Michelle contributed to the balance and sound of the group in this tune. With those super-soprano notes when she and Cass break off into harmony...WOW.

BettinaBalser Absolutely! She’s stunning from start to finish. A similar thing occurs in “Safe in My Garden,” which is also on this album, and she puts her chilling soprano front and center.

Every time I hear this song, it gives me chills. And it just happened again. The Mamas and the Papas at their best, with the counterpoint between Cass's piercing contralto and Michelle's pure, clean soprano contributing so, so much. Wow!

Another song new to me. A beautiful track. I am great fan of West Coast music.

Arguably the best song on the album. It seems to be about the internal and external problems and pressures they were facing. Haunting and unforgettable.

Todd Martin Absolutely! It’s the moment an already fantastic song becomes regal, ethereal and phenomenal.

Since this song is very bohemian and more whimsical, I can't help but feel the resonation of Dancing Bear

Beautiful video. I always thought that this song was eerily prescient of the Manson slayings a mere year later.

The opening sounds like 'Halloween' ....scary!!!
@EranEdry9 жыл бұрын
whisperinstoryteller in case you were wondering, the opening is in fact the final track of their third album, titled "John's Music Box". Not sure how it made it into the video but the real version starts at 0:16.
