you're a virgin once. There is no born again virgin. Now you can abstain from sex but your virginity is something you cant get back. As to the kid thing, I think it depends on the person. Some people can have kids and be ready at 20 and some people should wait until later in life. I was 19 when I got married and 20 when I had my first child. I was ready for kids but should have waited anyway.

@jaejae57826 жыл бұрын
Ny Greggs obviously it’s not a literal term. . BORN AGAIN VIRGIN is normally just a woman who just decided to take a break from sex until it’s actually worth. For most women it’s not just a physical act-it means a lot more than that. It’s normally fir several years not months. (It’s long term celibacy/abstinence & I hope no woman honestly believes otherwise.) A lot of Guys can just become whatever u want them to be like, until they get it, then change or leave/cheat on you after the fact. Yes we can be naive but because we learned our lesson, we then just decide to STOP that pattern of behaviour to merely weed out the ones who are just here for the short term or for those who are not really serious. If u don’t like it then keep it moving because u r obviously the type we are trying to avoid. (No shade)

Iam Charlie I think they mean more about being financial ready and mentally ready and there, when you’re in school, working overtime to meet ends for rent and your child and day care, you’re just exhausted and you won’t be there for your kids as much as you’d like. But as you get older, if you make the right moves you will be more stable to raise kids ina better environment. It all matters on circumstances and willingness. Everyone’s different
@freakyeah958 жыл бұрын
If you take care of yourself, it doesn't matter what age you have kids (physically speaking). My dad was 50 when I was born, he was in great shape then and now. 71 years old now, works out every other day and keeps up with my 7 year old niece better than my sister or I can.
@scottwall30955 жыл бұрын
I think physical accumen is less of a concern as mental health. If you aren't able to mentally handle it because you're still growing as a person then the potential stress can affect your health, add the stress that not being mentally settled into a marriage relationship adds from having a child early into that relationship adds and you end up with to much for a young man to handle.

I know you can't turn back the hands of time physically but your heart can be brought back to a pure state like you've never made that decision to give your chastity away. #bornagainvirgins a condition of the heart not the body.

@anyo_mations7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but I think it was more common to have kids at a younger age back in the day because less people went to college and more started working right after high school. Today, it takes so much longer for people to become independent. For me, having kids seems so far down the road because I still have to finish up high school and I'm planning on going to college. It'll be ten years before I can even support myself, so there's no way I could take care of a child now. I still feel like a kid to be honest
@scottwall30955 жыл бұрын
I think the idea of having kids young not so much the issue as it is where is your marriage or relationship at that point? People are still growing to know themselves post high school, maturing and figuring out the intracacies of marriage, the stress comes from taking one thing(marriage) you have a hard time with and are learning to balance and throwing a child into the mix. That was my conclusion from having a child young. Not to mention the implications on the marriage and the possible long term effects of not settling into the long term relationship before taking on a 18 year project as complicated as rearing a child.

@scottwall30955 жыл бұрын
I think born again virgin, at least as I was listening to it in Sunday sermons, was more about your attitude toward sex, how we use it these days as a coping mechanism for areas lacking in intimacy and trying to understand under what circumstances it is ideal to be intorduced to a relationship. Yes it can be "recreational" but if you take the same attitude there and apply it to a relationship it can cause problems that wouldn't show up if you waited and learned how to address intimacy in a relationship without the sex bandaid or enticement. I'm not decrying sex in a relationship but I think there is an issue with it being substituted in to many situations for closeness that men and women both see in thier heads and grew up idealizing....it's called friendship. Not preaching but I would have liked to see the panel expound upon how important sex is and there are wrong ways and times to use it. Male perspective should have been stronger and more well defined in this area.

My parents were 19 and 18 year olds when they had my older sister. They had a very stable job at my family's company and at the time they were better off than most people in their 30's so I don't blame them for thinking that they can raise a baby at such a young age, and they did. They're both amazing people and I highly respect them. Of course there's a lot of hardships that came their way(based on their stories) but I think it made them smarter and more responsible than those older than them. My family's company went bankrupt 7 years ago. Everyone in my family lost their jobs, my relatives literally became poor but me and my parents bounced back almost immediately. I had to change schools, my Mom needed to work oversees and we needed to learn how to make the best of what we have but now, we're back on track and I think one of the reasons my parents were able to remain calm and make good decisions is because they forced themselves to learn things at such a young age. I'm not planning on having kids till I'm at least over 25 and don't think that having kids at a young age would truly benefit you but whenever there are negatives, there's always positives. I don't even know why I'm writing this, I just think my parents are awesome... Yeah das bout it.

Everybody DOES have a right to do a 180, and live in a way that's far more healthy for mind/body/Spirit. That is certainly possible. But only about 2% of people can pull it off at 21 IMHO. Because financially, it is very rare to find a 21 yr old who can fully support themselves, let alone pay bills, rent, groceries without the aid of parents or loans. So you are bringing your child into a rough environment. I had a tough childhood at times, my parents didn't because financially stable until their mid 40s. I'm 19 now and I am just beginning to realize that the world is labelling me as an adult and having this much responsibility is already enough stress. I disliked this segment so much. Not one intelligent response from this panel of men regarding the topic of Born Again Virgins. The only thing I agree with is what Steve said about the terminology. Some people will get caught up in the verbiage of Born Again Virgin. But all it means is that a Woman or Man has decided to take a vow of celibacy. They have chosen to wait till marriage to have sex again. Doing things the "RIGHT WAY". I know some will disagree with that term but so be it that is the way I see it. I just hated how these men made leaping assessments that a woman who calls her self a Born Again Virgin must have been very promiscuous. That is not necessarily the case. She may have made that decision after having just one sexual partner or after having many. Each woman is different.

+4daluvofnikki It should be called celibacy cus that's what it is not born again virgins cus once you lose your virginity you're no longer a virgin, but when you stop having sex then you're celibate not a born again virgin, that term doesn't logically make sense.

+4daluvofnikki the question is can you REALLY be a "born again" virgin. Yeah the guys may have made fun, but the fact of the matter is you can't. Once you've crossed that line, that's it, you're not a virgin anymore. Deciding to become celibate until marriage is not the same as being a virgin, and being a virgin doesn't even mean you're waiting to get married before having sex, so you can easily see why this is laughable. Like steve says, they need to change the terminology. because as it stands it makes no real sense and won't be taken seriously. Also, there is nothing factually wrong about having sex before getting married.

If you get sexually assaulted your first time having sex I think it's okay to be a born again virgin. Also I don't see the issue in sleeping with a bunch of people voluntarily and then deciding to be a born again virgin. You're saying born again. This implies that you're acknowledging that you've had sexual intercourse in the past. It's not a lie so I'm not sure what's wrong with saying it.

I think people should wait and have there children when there older cause being a young father does cause overwhelming stress. I became a father at 16 and living on my own with my wife and child and going to school. I don't even know how I managed to get this far.

I think age of having a kid depends on the person. Me and my husband had our first baby right before our 21st birthday. We’ve never had a problem with financials or how’re we’re going to raise/feed our kids. We’re not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination but we live within our means and do just fine. Me and my husband also have a wonderful relationship, totally depends on the couple and how much you got your crap together. But that’s just my little two cents/experience.

At 19, I had my first child, and I'm glad I did cause I had a lot more energy back then. I knew myself, knew what I wanted out of life, and had my life together. At 19, I had two paid houses, two paid cars, making a decent paycheck from my businesses, and a decent amount in investments. Financially speaking, because I had my children so young, it actually allowed me to save more money on my taxes.

Bill and David said it best, "Once you take a bite of that apple, you're done". No such thing as being a born-again virgin...dry spell yes, but a re-virgin...no. My dad was 26 when I was born (he just celebrated his 80th in July), and I honestly don't know if he was really prepared to be a dad at that time, or understood the responsibility that it would entail. When I think back, I remember he did his best to provide for as my siblings and I. We always had clothes on our backs, a roof over our heads and we never went hungry.

My parents had me late. I had my Son early. The age gap is largely what governs how much in common a parent and child have. The relationship I have with my Son is one of far more common interests and activities than I had with my Father.

Me as a woman agree that especially man shound not be married or have kids before 30.My dad got me and my sister at 34 and 35. He lived his bachelor life until he met my mom. He became a family man, dedicated to his family and kids...And he gave me an example that you should wait until you are matture for that.

There is pros and cons to having kids at a young age and there's pros and cons to having them when you are older. I had my first child at 19. My second at almost 22. And my third at 24. It has not been easy. When you are that young and you have kids it's a struggle, financially and mentally. Sometimes I wish I would have waited and got a good job. Went to collage. Saved up. Took care of my health better. Had good mentors. Chose better men and made better decisions. But the upside is that I'm 39 and my kids are basically grown. My daughter is 20 now, my son is about to be 18 at the end of this month. And my youngest is 15. So I'm still young enough that I can enjoy life and go for my dreams. As much as I wish I would have waited, I'm glad I'm not almost 60 watching my kids graduate. God willing, I'm glad I'll have the energy and be alive to see my kids become successful and get married. It is what it is.

A man being 21 is so much different then a women being 21 though. I think a woman can do it. I'm 24 and I'm ready. My husband is almost 35. It seems like the perfect time for us. It really depends on your situation and where you are in life. Some may be ready sooner than others.

I'm glad I had my kids starting at 19. I pay 4 times what I did for insurance for family then vs single now and my insurance covers nothing. I couldn't afford to raise them now and given how uncertain relationships are, being empty nest by 45 means more options and grand kids.

Age is just a number . It really depends on how you r brought up , and each and ever person is different . If u r 40 and still don't care about family matters well u r still baby and big one too . But if u r 20 and can some how provide and take care of people around you u r the man . We learn new things every day . As we all know there only 24 hours a day but actually A lot can happen in those 24 hours
