Planting a load of seeds/trees does not take the same skills as someone who's job is the negotiate land conservation, allocate money to development and protection of territories etc. This is a great guy but being a forrest minister takes far more skills than just liking the forrest.

@@warpnin3 Adam was never a gardener. After he gained knowledge he was expelled from Eden and became a farmer. God commanded Adam to subdue the land. That biblical line has been used by millions of people to destroy the environment. To subdue it in the name of god. The old Gods of Ecuador respected the forests. The Europeans called them demons and made the Ecuadorian people worship the crazed god of the Jews and Christians. To cut down the forests and tear up the land for gold. To give riches to the demonic preachers, who live like kings, while the farmers live in the dirt. For a thousand years we have heard your lies, he is coming, donate to us! You will be saved! Lies, lies, lies.

Why can’t reforesting be profitable? 30% of the Amazon rain forest consists of edible or medicinal plants. People have lived with the jungle for a long time and made their livelihood from it. Start by planting a fruit trees between existing flora. Most trees don’t need direct sunlight like we think, the soil network is just as important. Keep building soil around the trees you want to favor and in 2 years the system will take care of itself.

Brilliant! The world desperately needs more people like this man. The governments should be helping people like him by declaring more protected areas lie conservation areas and giving grants to help plant more trees as it is beneficial to all.
