It'd make sense to have Thrawn leading the Imperial remnants at this time (5 years post "Jedi") like in the original continuity and, once he's finally defeated, the remnants fully retreat into the Unknown Regions to form the First Order.

Where was she when Luke was taking on Vader and the emperor? There were supposedly several Jedi still alive and kicking during the OT period. Why wouldn't Ben and Yoda put together some kind of team to back Luke? They just sent a young farmer in there with very little training to face it all alone.

I knew the only Jedi who could make it a mic drop moment was Luke. He's the reason I really fell in love with the Star Wars in the first place. As a character he means so much to Star Wars fans. When I saw the x-wing I gasped, then the dark cloak I held my breath. Them filming the initial light saber fight in black and white -brilliant I was rapt with anticipation. When I saw the green light saber I Ieapt for joy. Then when he took of his hood I wept. This whole season was a love letter to Star Wars fans and I'm so grateful.

If you told me 3 years ago that we would see Star Wars reborn in all its former glory in a TV cinematic universe that took characters from across the expanded lore and wove them together I would of laughed and bet my house against it. @@ItsMeBarnaby I'm sad for you having that opinion. Less Star Wars to love. I've been around since the mid 80's, and felt the way you do about the prequels 20 years ago. Now I just love Star Wars. You decide.

@@larascasse9264 The prequels are poorly made movies, but at least you get a sense what Lucas what aiming for. The sequels are just a mess. :) And no, I'm hardly too young to understand, I grew up watching the OT (first watched ANH when I was six) and now I'm mid 40s. I've watched the OT at least 300 times, I stopped counting decades ago.

@@phj223 The prequels got a whole lot better thanks to CW. They were better planned than the ST as a trilogy, but they're still hard to watch. ST has it's problems, but in my opinion it's not that bad. They didn't have a plan from day one, I agree, but I think it works out. What's your major complaint about the ST? Didn't watch the OT 300 times, but probably close to 100. 👍

Luke's force got so powerful at this point he can crush metallic droids like aluminum cans. Notice Din have a very hard time just defeating one of those droids.
