These reactors are having that Star Wars fandom issue where they want rumors and proposed stories to be true and when they are not they get disappointed. Fans of big enterprises usually set themselves up to be disappointed if they don't get what they have hyped themselves up for. The story telling is ongoing. You don't need all answers right now.

@@FearThanos420. I don’t think Lindo necessarily made the story better. The story does take s as lot of weird detours. As much as I want to say that certain reviewers are bring too harsh and throw it in their face, I think it takes remembering also that Episode 6 is almost like Episode 5 of season 1. Really hokey acting and somewhat boring even for a filler Episode. I like those kinds of episodes in a show like this, but you still have to make it well. It’s not the worst Star Wars thing out there, but fans have been burned bad by something like The Rise of Skywalker and the prequels for having only one particular story planned out, but forgetting to map out the other details.

So many reaction videos today HAVE NO IDEA who they are looking at. Definitely a COP OUT. There was so much potential Favreau and co. missed out on, the redemption of JarJar (and not the actor) and some moving scenes with Grougu as he would be shepharded to safety by him. Disappointed.

@FranciscoHOS

@@pal54321 I think one of the issues that Grogu brings along with viewers is the expectation that we'll see more content related to the Jedi, and with that brings bigger expectations of seeing more fallout from Order 66 etc. More casual viewers got hooked to the thrill of Jedi being in the Mandalorian, and strayed away from the mystique and culture of the Mandalorians, which is what made this series so popular. Based on reports, it seems like Favreau/Filoni were forced into bringing Grogu back for season 3 by Kathleen Kennedy which they disagreed on. Which is why Filoni and Favreau seem to have more control now, because they didn't want to be forced into that situation again.

Let the story happen. I feel like you’re knocking it for not doing what you want it to do instead of trying to see what it is doing. This was a half hour episode, I expect the later half of the season to feature longer episodes as the pay off for the beginning of the season unfolds. Right now we’ve learned a small bit more about Grogu’s escape, we’ve seen Bo Katan gain the respect of the orthodox Mandalorians, we’ve seen her growing a stronger bond with Grogu and begin questioning the things she believed in. That’s actually quite a bit. We’ve also seen Elia complete her mission of disposing of the doctor, we’ve found out Mandalore is inhabitable if not restored, we’ve found out Mythosaurs still exist (in spite of their names) and we learned a large emperial force is after Bo. All that and it’s only episode four. So let the story unfold and maybe knock it a bit less for not being the story you want to tell.

No, they’re right. The Mandalorian peaked at Season 2. Season 3 has felt more like The Book of Boba Fett and Kenobi. The writing and quality have taken a huge dive. Jango, Jaster, and the True Mandalorians would’ve destroyed these cosplaying Mandos in seconds. Most of them don’t even know how to use their gear and are wearing spray painted Boba helmets. C’mon Disney. A 2 year wait for this? HBO quality Andor to this?

I loved this episode seeing Kelleren have a big moment. It's been a real redemption arc for Ahmed Best. After years of getting sh*t on for Jar Jar, he bounces back with Jedi Temple challenge and now this. And the mission it was fun to see the Mando's work together as a community to do something other than a blunt force mission. I think Casey and Anthony are working themselves up for their own disappointment. To focused on their head canon than what the story actually is.This episode was great we had Grogu taking his first steps to actually being a Mandalorian. Bo's internal struggle and growing closer to the other Mandos. And, once again seeing Kelleren get to be a bad ass. I thought this was a banger.

I'd like to think the Armorer knows the Mythosaur is there which adds to their beliefs when it comes to the Living Waters. By bathing there as Din did you are basically reestablishing your faith to the creed in the presence of what they almost consider a diety-like being in the Mythosaur. By doing that they earn the right to be Mandalorian again.

@@Kyle-gu3ge Yea, for sure! The Armorer is all about Faith, so even if she never saw it herself, she still "knows" its there because her faith tells her so. I loved that about the Living Water scene. For Din, it was like seeing the Vatican. It was this deeply religious and meaningful moment. For Bo, it was like giving a tour at a theme park. The best part of this season has been watching her find her faith in the culture that she, admittedly, never really believed in before.

What I found most impressive about the opening scene. We assume, incorrectly it turns out that Grogu is practicing his use of the force to push little rocks around. Except it's then revealed those are not rocks but something close to hermit crabs and he is actually connecting with and compelling them to move in the directions he desires. In the forge the Armorer speaks truth that the forge reveals weakness. Grogus weakness is him being held back by his past trauma, which the forge revealed.

Someone like Kelleran Beq is a great deep modern fanservice cut for who saved Grogu since it gives Ahmed Best more cool action time on the Star Wars screen...and because the Jedi's role previously was tied closely to children. Because all the BIG name Jedi Masters....we know where they were at this point....or how they died. They could've pulled a character from an old pre-Disney era novel or something but that wouldn't be recognizable to most people. There are a couple people on the Jedi Council that we don't have accounted for....and I do think having it be Oppo Rancisis that saved him would've been awesome.... but a giant snake man Jedi would also be way more expensive. Not just that, but their leaps of logic and/or assumptions. Ie, that "I don't trust her" response after the Armorer's response... when it could simply be that she didn't understand Bo's true meaning and there's no deeper plot at work? The idea that the Mandos on display here - explicitly not going in hard, because they don't want to hurt the child; duh - are 'nerfed' because they're not guns blazing level of strong at every moment? The disappointment at Grogu's rescuer not being some big-name, or even bothering to figure out who he was? Normally their style would work and such bits were simply comedic, so it could be brushed off. But now it's showing that beneath that, it's a rather narrow-minded approach to the content that they have (whether they realize it or not), and I have to say that rubs me the wrong way

It was mostly to show some of Grogu's Order 66 moment, and then to strengthen the bonds between Bo and the rest of this clan. Also, I'm guessing it was a setup to show how this group of Mandalorians end up with these huge flying creatures that will be their companions that they ride and use to be a higher order of Mandalorians once they all get back to Mandalore. Kind of like in Avatar. They'll be the only Mandalorians that have these huge flying creatures as part of their clan so they will likely be the highest order. On a side note, I don't presonally read about fan theories or rumored storylines, and I feel like I'm more pleased with what I see in the episodes as a result. It's all unknown, so what actually happens is totally fine. Constantly looking at those rumors may actually be negatively effecting your opinion of the end results, where you may have been okay with them without the rumors. Not asking you to change what you're doing, just a thought.

I found it interesting that you said Maul could be the one who saved him, we had to consider that Maul was in the same ship with Ahsoka after losing his control over Mandalore in Clone Wars. The attack to the Temple was happening at the same time as the fight in the ship with the Clone trooper.

They are starting to be a mid reactors as of late. Not every episode is going to be a big huge climax... that is not how story telling goes. If they cannot respect the how good story telling is done, and get over there need for gratification all the time, they should stop reacting to SW in general.

@@Morrison64 World building, character development, culture exploring, and multi-branched plots... all part of good story telling that seem to be going over some reactors (and some fans) heads these days. The last 8-10 minutes of the last episode of Season 2 with Luke coming to find Grogu was epic, but it took the whole season of story telling to get to that point and to set the scene properly. Idk if it is a case of these reactors wanting instant gratification all the time, or they just cannot control their expectations on each episode.

My dear Padawans! Ahmed Best played Jar-Jar Binks in the prequels as well. That's the point of this actor's returns aside from the fact he trained Jedi in the loosely based canon "Jedi Challenge. They did give us a fan service moment with who saved Grogu, it just wasn't in a Luke Skywalker type of way. The Jedi saving Grogu was played by Ahmed Best, who played Jar Jar Binks and was on the receiving end of some really horrible and toxic behavior on behalf of Star Wars "fans" for years. I found the choice of using him far more satisfying than a known character. Not everything should be a massive moment because there are other Jedi that matter and should have their time in the sun if we want the world to actually feel lived in. I also love how much people found last week's episode too much of a detour when that episode is probably one of the more important ones. Not only continuing the plot thread from season 1, but also setting up the future of this show and possibly others shows like Ahsoka. I'll also just be honest and say after Andor I'm having trouble turning off that part of my Star Wars brain. I obviously love Mando, but wish it had the quality care Andor did, not that it was the same tone or feel.

It’s already been established that Padmé was out the loop during Order 66 but it would’ve been delicious if she had saved Younglings from Palpatine and Anakin / Vader. It’s definitely the Naboo security forces though. That’s a Nubian (?) starship, just like the ones she used throughout the PT.

Key points to keep in mind is that the actor playing the Jedi that saves Grogu is played by Ahmed Best, who played Jar Jar And the ship they get into is Senator Jar Jar's I can understand if significance is lost on casual fans that aren't aware of the prequals, or bts The other fun fact is the character that Best plays is Kelleran Beq, who was a character designed for a Star Wars kid's game show. There is a LOT of meta stuff going on here, this was 100% fan service It's unfortunate that it seems to let rumours dictate your expectations, instead of letting the story unfold and enjoying the ride. Grogu's saviour isn't who you wanted them to be, but maybe let the writers introduce someone new to you?
