Ummmm, "Heard It In A Love Song" was their biggest hit in 1977 and hit no.14 on the charts. "Can't You See" when originally released in 1973 only hit no.108 on the charts, but when reissued in 1977 hit no.75

Such a groove! This is what I love about reaction channels like yours, Harri. I bought this album when it first came out, and I’ve listened to this song hundreds of times since then. But when I watch you reacting to it, it’s like hearing it again through new ears. What a great crew of musicians these guys were. Thanks Harri, and thanks Uncle Phil for suggesting this!

Quick summary- The words fiddle and violin are two names for the same stringed instrument-fiddle is just an informal way of referring to the violin. In the context of classical music, it's typically called a violin. In a bluegrass band, it's more likely to be called a fiddle.

Fiddle originally was the English term. You can go into the most expensive violin ship in London and it might be referred to as a fiddle. But in the US, yeah, it's just how it's played.

Eons ago I had the pleasure of seeing the Marshall Tucker Band, with Elvin Bishop as the opening act. After the Marshall Tucker Band finished their first encore, and the audience on its feet begging for more, the flute player came out and asked for a little patience. Next the roadies hit the stage, and rearranged the equipment and both bands came out together, and beginning with "will the circle be unbroken," they played together for another half hour at least. After attending dozens of concerts, it remains one of the best I ever saw.

Marshall Tucker Band 24 Hours At a Time at Volunteer Jam. This is live, not on an album. The song itself is recorded but this live version is by far the best. Tommy plays the bass like I never heard a bass before. Toy made that 57 Gibson scream. It was the Charlie Daniels Volunteer Jam and he played fiddle. At end, his bow strings were in shreds. One of their best performances in my opinion. Grew up in their area. Love my boys. Toy here was a Vietnam war hero, purple heart. They had the talent.

Harri... The best way to tell the difference between a violin and a fiddle is to watch the Geico insurance commercial starring Charlie Daniels. Found on KZbin. It's in a high-end restaurant where the guy is walking around playing the violin for everybody and somewhere in the course of the evening Charlie takes it away from him and shows him how it's done.
