どんな形であっても暴力厳禁の現代社会にあっては、突いたり蹴ったり、相手をやっつける技術よりも 崩し捌きに特化した体術をたしなみとして身に付けるのがいいなとこの動画を拝見して思いました 中でも腰で崩す技術の成田伝合気道はすごくスマートで現代人に合っていると思いました

Very good explanation . This teachnic is the one of "Aiki no rentai " the supreme way of aiki in Daitoryu aikijujutsu .Not only control the body but also mind totally.

I just discovered I can do Hirai-san's koshimawari from watching Narita-san's videos. Meditation is a wonderful thing. Beautiful to discover this in ourselves. Feeling like a fast growing flower... what a wonderful martial art..! Truly amazing..!

Thanks for including Endo sensei. do you know Yamaguchi Seigo ? He is the teacher of Endo. And...i think they know koshi no mawari, i think it is basic concept for them. I do aikikai aikido myself ^_^ and i can remember from very first class its always "dont use your shoulders but use your hips."

古流武術の説明を面白いアプローチでより分かり易くされて居て、とても面白く拝見させて頂きました そう云えば柔道をつくられた嘉納治五郎先生はお弟子さんに『柔道を一通りやったなら古流柔術を学びなさい。』と言われて居たそうです 　実際高弟を植芝盛平の初期のお弟子と成って居ますし、グレーシー柔術の祖前田光代は講道館柔道を広める為に世界を周りましたが柔術をやって居たのであらゆる戦いで勝って居ます 　グレーシー柔術の技の多くは柔術の流れを残して居ますね

Please let me add more information. Does not mean “ Kata *does not exist* ”. (I am not good at English. I'm sorry.) 犬伏（Inu-buse), 日輪(Nichi‐rin) The name is slightly different. I don’t know other names. There is also a "Kata" for wood sword ＆ short staff. (Feel like a " *to train synchronization* .") However, it is not for “ *Aikido Demonstration* ”. “Tai-sabaki” is *absolutely* more important than“Kata”. ちょっと補足させて下さい。 型が全く存在しない訳ではないです。 正面打ちの三教は「犬伏」、相半身片手取りの一教は「日輪」と言います。 他は承知してません。 体術の基本の型や、木剣、杖の型もありますが、「同調を養う」目的が主かと。 もちろん他流の合気道も演武の為に型稽古をされてるわけではないのは承知しておりますが、 光輪洞、及び平井伝では『絶対的に体捌きの方が比重が重い』、と感じてます。

This sensei is amazing. but i really would like to see his students, or ordinary students perform Korinbo aikido...Only than i can see if its the Sensei who is great or if its his Budo which is great.

"Ki (気 or 氣)" of Kanji has various meanings. The meaning of "Ki" used in martial arts(Budo) is ambiguous. For Japanese people, the "Ki" of martial arts imagines "qigong" in China. Although I do not deny the existence of qigong, Master NARITA does not knock down a person 10 meters away with invisible power. Master NARITA also uses the word "Ki", but converting it to "consciousness" makes it easier to understand.

Koichi tohei sensei once said “no ki no aikido”, Therefore what differentiate between narita sensei is the use of Ki, so next question is how is narita sensei generatig his Ki ?

First of all ... I am sorry that the sentence is long. And I'm sorry if it was strange English. He seems to have studied greatly about the human body. Well then, I have one more question for you, but what does "Ki" meaning TOHEI Sensei were talking about? He was knew about Principle of "Ki" in China, during the war . He studied under Tenpu NAKAMURA after returning Japan. "Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido" was established by TOHEI Sensei in the influence of his method. (Of course you know?) One day, TOHEI Sensei noticed. "The technique of UESHIBA O-Sensei is very smooth, but if each other is a student, why are they doing a technique with power?" To that question Nakamura replied, "Heart moves body." TOHEI Sensei found ideas. Guide the opponent's "Ki", then guide their body. Also, he thought that he could not guide the heart of others unless he could control his own mind before leading his opponent's heart. In that ideas he founded "Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido". There is no discomfort even if "heart" and "Ki" of this sentence are rewritten as "consciousness". Don't you think so? Shin Shin Toitsu's students come to our seminar. Shin Shin Toitsu's students also say that TOHEI Sensei idea is close to us. Morihei UESHIBA said: "Aiki is love." The word "love" is an extreme expression. But, in other words, meaning is understood. "Do not fight" → "Not confrontation" → "Control my mind" → "Accept all" → I think that these conclusion became the expression "love". This is related to "consciousness" and "awareness". "(Ai)合 (Ki)気 (Do)道". The meaning of "Ai(合）" of Aikido is joining, unifying, combining, fitting, etc. As I said earlier, the word "Ki(気)" has various meanings. breath, atmosphere, spirit, sense, feeling, mood, condition, sign, state,energy, mood, morale, gas, etc. That means there are various kinds of "Ki". By the way, consciousness is "意識（ishiki）" in Japanese. "意識（ishiki）" is translated into English, "consciousness, awareness, sense." Therefore, it is paraphrased as "consciousness". So, I think that "consciousness" is also a kind of "Ki". 「All words "Ki" should be changed to "consciousness".」 I said such a thing? I have not said such a thing. There are various "Dogs", right? Poodle, Chihuahuas, Bulldog, and more. That same thing. The feeling is different between the Masters who is in "a stage" and us. So, we should not get caught up in the image of words. We have to think that word at various angles. I think that the meaning of TOHEI Sensei's word "No Ki No Aikido" is deep. Tori and Uke adjust "the timing". Tori throws beautifully. Uke was thrown beautifully. And Uke did a beautiful Ukemi. It may be beautiful indeed. But, is there "Ki" there? It is just a form. · Timing is adjusted with each other · Tori to guide the body These two meanings are totally different.

Great video and great explanation. A lot of talking about "ki"... I support what you say , "ki" is about mind. (or, "ki" is the mind.) Ki anyway is awesome, just like our mind, but its not a mysterious power shooting out of the hand making people throw from a distance. ^_^

決まった動きの投げであれば、すぐ起き上がって～みたいなのが俗に言う「美しい型」なんでしょうけどね。 受けの先生は「何故こうなるのか？成田先生は何をしたのか？自分反応出来ないのはなぜか？」など脱帽と関心と色々頭で考えてるんだと思いますw 僕も先生にやられると考えこんでそうなりますから。

今は亡き、私の師匠は成田さんのやってることは「平井翁先生の指導と違うことをしている」と、きっぱり言っておりました。 稽古の時は多く、平井翁先生の受けを取っていたそうで、直弟子の一人であったと思っています。

慶長先生、コメントありがとうございます。 体捌きに各々の個性が出るように、その指導にも個性が出るのではないでしょうか。 　平井先生は生前、 　『本流さえ外れてなければ、流祖から弟子各人に対して、百人ならば一子相伝で百人百流である。流祖一人にしか習えないのであれば、道は途絶えてしまう。』 　と仰られたそうです。 　その本流を伝えて行くべく、成田先生は未だに研鑽を積んでいらっしゃいます。 私達も、平井翁の合氣道・旧武徳会の合氣道を遺し伝えたいと思っております。
