Car makers need to get Flaviana involved at the design stage, brutal honesty at all times. I agree that the EV9 is too big for the UK, it is too long for a standard parking space. On the other hand, other vast SUVs are also too big and they are pumping out exhaust fumes, so if you need a giant car, get an EV9

It's funny seeing the family politics from the perspective of a parent. These moments of arguments and bickering seem stressful at the time but looking back, they are actually hilarious comedy gold. My Italian grandparents used to argue *constantly*, so much that as a child I thought they hated each other. As an adult I realised it was just normal married life and they loved each other dearly. Very sweet.

Superb! Apropos of nothing I had just got in from root canal work when I watched this video. What a tonic - it had everything from humour, back seat driving and a few Waitrose references. On Andrew's driving fast on country roads when being followed I do something similar in my Honda Jazz Hybrid - I see it as challenging stereotypes.

Refinement is top notch, power is excellent (Tesla quicker but nowhere near as refined), just feels special, which is important when you're a car lover like I am. It's a lease as they're doing some superb deals at the moment, so I can finally 'own' a new (well couple of months old) car and enjoy the benefits of EV'ing in style 😀

I love watching your videos so much we have a EC4 and we drove from Manchester to the north of France with no problem the chargers over is France work every time and they have a much better infrastructure over there than in the uk

Andrew, I love your reviews, they are unique. No one else I know involves the family as you do and to be honest, I believe you've got it right. Involving the family is really important even if the kid is fed up with daddy being about electric cars all the time and wants to put the chicken in to have some fun 😀. But we did get her take on the car and I've never heard her as positive, so Kia must be doing something right. The car is not only expensive to buy, it is quite an energy hog as well. What you did, buying the used e-Niro at the price you were able to, surely is the most sensible choice. You're a smart guy. Keep it up! And my regards to Flaviana and Aurelia for their amazing performance on this video.

Was looking forward to watching it after seeing your tweet about it Andrew. Flaviana didn't disappoint I learned something about Italian people that I didn't know at all as I always thought Italy was an amazing country but had not idea as a society it functioned. There is currently a family of 4 towing a holiday caravan around Australia with an EV9 they are on Facebook not sure their page name though and getting about 300km or so per charge so close to 200miles. There are a few here where I live in Tasmania but the Australian model doesn't get the seats that flip around, health and safety lunacy gone mad as a certain Mr. Clarkson would say and I would agree. But there are huge RAM trucks/utes here and the EXACT thing that Flaviana said at the end are the men buying them, that and their fragile ego's basically there to intimidate every other road user and know when they hit them well the other party won't need an ambulance but a hearse, total lunacy.

Great video! Still the best thing when you have the views of a full family (and the chickens). All those family dynamics just add to the charm. 🙂 I can't comprehend spending that kind of money on the car, but I can't comprehend spending that kind of money on any car! But that stuff's all relative, of course. It's not in my income bracket, but it's clearly in someone's income bracket, and, as you rightly point out, that's nothing to do with it being an EV - people spend much more on ICE cars too.

Flaviana at her most amusing...! can echo your views on the size of cars. My everyday runabout is a 2018 DS3 3 door which at under four metres in length is easy to park manoeuvre etc - although Im thinking of changing to the about to be released MG3 HYBRID which at over 4.1 metres might be a little trickier. The real fun is with my other car, which like you say I bought for luxury, is a Genesis Electrified G80 which at slightly over fives metres (so somewhere between E Class and S Class Mercedes) is used infrequently, which although being the best large luxury car I've owned, when driven around town is like riving an ocean liner, and as for parking at times it feels like berthing said ocean liner. BTW also as you say about Range Rover drivers it's only my wife and I !!!

I just sold my Skoda Kodiaq which was a seven seater which was enormous and way too big for my needs. I bought it on a whim instead of getting a more sensible Octavia. It would however have been brilliant when my two sons were still at home for going on long drives around Europe. This does look like a really good option for people with big families though.

We sold our e-Niro just as you were buying yours, since I got bored with it - and we used the hugely stupid depreciation to buy a top-spec Jag i-pace - I don't think you've ever reviewed one have you, and I would love to see both of your reactions to one. I think it was in the FB Kia Ev9 group, there were seemingly quite a lot of EV9 buyers coming from Range Rovers etc. which is great to see. Hopefully word will get around. Though I do worry about the combo of big heavy car and lots of torque in some driver's hands.
