Absolutely! That fight made me think a good DBZ live action movie could be made! Unfortunately, while it could be made, a GOOD DBZ Live action movie still hasn’t been made … yet.

What a shame people don’t enjoy these movies more. I love all of them, although I recognize the first one is on a class of its own. I especially loved the third one, and the climax fight at the end. It was the first time I cried in a movie for something that wasn’t sad or emotional. I cried simply bc of the awe of it.

I know I'm late but just A couple of things: 1. The train station was outside of the Matrix. It was the link between the machine city and the matrix and the train man built it. That's why the programs were super confused when neo was there, only programs should be able to enter that space. That also explains why Neo lost his powers, they (should) only work in the Matrix. 2. Michael Caine confirmed that the ending of Inception was reality during an event, you can loom it up on KZbin.

Actually "all the dope fights" aren't just Juno Reactor but Rob Dougan as well. The Reloaded Chateau fight, the Reloaded Agents fight and the Woman in the Red Dress scene from the first movie. Clubbed to Death, Furious Angels, Chateau.

HOLY SHIT! I just looked up what a "VTD" or rather a VT-d is and it is a BOMBSHELL! A VT-d is a computer bios function. It stands for Virtualization for Technology Direct I/O Access. It allows a virtual machine to have access to the base level functions of the commuter it's running on. In other words, apparently, what Smith did to Bane isn't new! They've seen people, computer hardware, giving a virtual machine, a program running on the hardware, full access to the hardware kernel, body function control. 🤯

I think the first movie absolutely tells you that the real war is outside the matrix. The last grasp of humanity in Zion is where the last stand will take place. So as much as we want to be in the matrix itself I don't think that makes sense in the context of how the first movie sets up the world.
@tinytimm101

Exactly! It was a natural progression for the story to move further outside of the Matrix.

Watched this movie for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed it. I find it much more enjoyable than reloaded and found I thought the action was done quite well. The first minute of that final fight between Neo and Agent Smith were fantastic and that entire fight was basically a DBZ fight. The ending sucked though. Like wtf happened?
@josholiday5269

This movie is fantastic and it bums me out that more people don't see the brilliance. I'm not saying they are perfect, but hearing Kevin open with "This movie sucks," just reminds me that our entire culture these days is to be cynical about everything you don't completely fanboy over.
@DrPantsMD
@DrPantsMD 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that kind of negativity is why I dislike a lot of Kevin's movie opinions. And why I love CinemaWins so much. Even when he's able to admit the movie isn't very good, at least Lee tries to find the good aspects to the movie (and there's certainly a few in these sequels), instead of seemingly just writing the whole thing off.
@josholiday5269
@josholiday5269 2 жыл бұрын
@@DrPantsMD yea, there's been so many times I start one of these In Reviews and get excited to hear opinions, but then it gets to the plot and they have been negative the entire time up to that point and I just stop and go do something else. I don't think they have to be nothing but positive about a movie, but there's a thousand and one channels with wholely negative takes on movies if I really need to see more of that. I'll be content watching KF for positive gaming stuff instead.

They DEFINITELY couldn't have done the thing where they gave everyone was a choice because that would break the simulation. The whole point is to study normal human behavior. That changes drastically when a person feels like the world they live in is without consequences...like on the Internet.

The idea that the Machine City works an a Matrix-type of virtual reality would be the best thing ever, but it would require some kick ass special effects. Imagine the Zion Control Tower, but an entire Matrix made of this. With programs living and working instead of people, in essentially a parallel opposite of the Matrix. This would have made so much sense for a third movie. Imagine this: Because of Smith, then the only safe way to keep the people alive would be to move them to the Machine City Program (needs a cool name to signify the opposite of Matrix) and shut the Matrix program off. Thay would make sense because it would explain Sati and her family being people-shaped, even though they are just programs.
@thevikingbear2343
@thevikingbear2343 2 жыл бұрын
Imagine the politics of that. And the themes of migration, and political refugees. And of people and machine having to become one society, instead of two parallel societies.
@thevikingbear2343

Also, ai think I just made enough material for an entire new franchise. Specially if the third movie ends with the people coming into the machine's Matrix or whatever is named.

The fact that most people wanted to be in The Matrix for the majority of the films, is a great example of the theme of the movies: people like what they know, not what they don't. People would rather take the blue pill instead of the red.

For anyone curious but too lazy to watch The Animatrix, here's the Machine origins: Machines: We have free will. Can we co-exist? Humans: No. Machines: Ok. You clearly hate us we're gonna move out to the middle of the ocean but we can still be friends. Humans: You're too good at making things we can't be friends. Machines: Okay... So how about we just stay out here and not bother anyone and you leave us alone? Humans: No. We gotta kill you.

The Matrix sequels told a portion of the story that did not need to be told. Period. They're simply boring and full of nonsensical exposition and unnecessary fight scenes. And the ideas within the Matrix that were cool and interesting were glossed over in service to whatever was going on in the real world which very few people care about. If they HAD to be produced, Reloaded and Revolutions should've at least been edited down to one film.

I never was into the Matrix, but I definitely knew that the first movie was a well-made, great movie (a lot like how I feel about The Godfather movies). The sequels are genuinely awful to me. Do they cover some interesting things, yes. Are there some aspects that are amazing, yes. They are very few and far between.
