the way the poster literally foreshadowed the ending, and we didn't even know it.

Can you do the music when 001 reveals his powers in the hallway in episode 7?

I think some of you need to rewatch the last episode. Max is not dead, she is in a coma at the end of the season.

I still think it was stupid af to have this absolutely triumphant scene that symbolizes overcoming depression and suicidal ideation, only to make it absolutely pointless because of what happens later, anyway, thereby taking any poignancy to this scene and throwing it in the garbage. What was the point? Was the message supposed to be "jk guys, mental illness wins this one out of nowhere haha!" or what?

Or get this maybe it was just a triumphant scene of one of the characters escaping the main villain and there was no symbolisation behind the scenes.

@@JurassicProductions228 Yeah, there was no symbolism behind the heavy handed symbolism 😂The character blatantly personifying depression and suicidal ideation is PROBABLY nothing worth thinking critically about. Tell me you didn't learn critical analysis of media without telling me you didn't learn critical analysis of media, because this is literally 8th grade English class shit. Maybe pay attention in school next time Also, not sure where the "triumphant" is coming from when she *literally* died. I'm explicitly stating that I think it takes any triumph away from the scene to have her just get killed stupidly later on. And then the asspull "bringing her back" shit.

It's certainly an interesting suggestion, but I would like to think that this is a scene symbolizing overcoming depression and suicidal ideation, and that then what happens later gives the story of Stranger Things a real sense of danger, in showing that the main characters are not guaranteed to survive. Further, it also demonstrates that sometimes depression and suicidal ideation can, as sad and horrible as it is, happen, and maybe she was not quite over it in that respect in just this one scene, but hopefully we will see move of an overcoming of this in Stranger Things 5. I certainly see what you're saying though.

@@chameleon- The three people who died before her were plenty of "mental illness kills, though." Max's scene was so powerful *because* she was the one to overcome the odds, only for that to be thrown away later.

@@horohorosrin In here 'original' overcoming of mental struggles and intern, Vecna, to me it was clear that this wasn't the complete end of this for Max, so I think for me I wasn't as disappointed with Max's end as others might have been but honestly that's just me, you probably speak for a hell of alot of the fan base here.
