THE MAZDARATI WAS STOLEN! ANSWERING YOUR QUESTIONS AND OPENING THE MAIL.

In Episode 228 of Mike Finnegan's Garage, I tell stories, answer questions and open a bunch of cool mail from viewers. The Mazdarati was ripped off from the Roadkill crew in Blythe, California. We had just wrapped an episode of Roadkill where Freiburger and I tried hard to make the truck finally run a 10 second pass at the dragstrip. We installed a tunnel ramp, added nitrous and in the end the engine leaked out of every orifice and the transaxle was destroyed. The truck left the track on a trailer during an overnight stay at a motel, someone shoved it off our trailer onto another trailer, and disappeared into the night. The local police Department has a good idea of who stole and and where the engine ended up, but the truck is long gone. We have no casting numbers for the engine so we werent able to recover the engine from the thieves. In this video I talk about what's next and if we are going to replace the crappy, but lovable mini-truck. Thanks for watching!

I was on an airplane when it was stolen. when the plane landed and i turned my phone back on, i was bombarded with text messages about the theft. it didnt seem real. to this day, when i drive through Blythe, California, I still look around for the truck. Sadly, its long gone.

I can tell you as a kid my Dad briefly worked on the show as a mechanic. It was a real shell of a car they mounted on that wall at the WB lot. Me and my brother got to tool around on this electric cart and drive around the back lot - it was definitely a trip. Then we were able to meet the cast/crew. It was definitely surreal to watch my dad Krylon fenders of old Coronets with hugger orange paint to help get them ready to be jumped lol.

Hey Mike. Here is a tip. Open the can. Let it sit for a couple of seconds. Pour it into a glass and let it sit for 2 minutes for the froth to rise. It tastes much better that way. Keep up the good work mate.

Got to deliver paint to the dukes of hazard set at Warner brothers . I was going to check out the general Lee's parked between the studios. All of a sudden the studio crew got quiet. The crew moved away from the rolling door. Two german Shepard's on leash followed by Daisy Duke aka Catharine Bach in costume walked in. If you think she looked good on the TV. She was stunning in person. I was so stunned. I completely forgot to look at the three general Lee's parked there.

As much as I like Gassers (55's) my absolute favorite is a 53. A friend and I built a 53 on a budget way back when I lived in Texas. ALL old school block, heads and abt as much duration on the cam and camshaft as as there was lift. A 871 (rebuilt by me) blower and a bunch of other GO FAST parts. Oh and a two speed power glide . It was Chevy engine block Orange so paint was simple lol It turned mid 9's. Oh and the headers were also old school wrapped with Teflon .

Guinness draught pronounced draft , please don't drink it from a can. Open your can on a flat surface, waiting roughly 5 seconds to pour (allowing the nitrogen time to surge into your beer). Now, tilting the glass at a 45 degree angle, begin your pour. When the stout is about 2 inches from the rim, straighten the glass and finish your pour. This will create the famously creamy Guinness head. Enjoy! Only time you don't drink guiness from a glass is when it's from a bottle

I would love to see a modernized version of the Mazdarati.... maybe a S10 with a LS fwd based drive train out of a Monte Carlo SS. Beef up the trans, run a turbo LS making about 750+ hp, custom IRS setup, and some mods to the front end to make it handle better than a Maserati. Use the truck from Faster with Finnegan!
