We live in the woods and have every predator that God put in the forest, in the upper Midwest anyway, and the only thing we have a problem with is eagles and hawks snagging a free range chicken every once and a while. We need to grab the occasional opossum out of a coop or run and relocate them down the road, but they’ve never done more than eat a few eggs. We actually feed a opossum table scraps every few days in the backyard and she’s never been a problem for us. Our coops are also built like Fort Knox. 😂

To MEEE (I purposefully emphasized the me) cook them like you do Bear and make it like you do pulled pork and it is good. I did not say it tastes exactly like pulled pork but if you did not tell someone what they were eating and put BBQ sauce and put it on a bun they wouldn't notice.

I agree with the wife raccoons do taste good but they are greasy!! I had an uncle that took care of a ranch and trapped coons fir there skins back when I was a teenager and the co-op took skins he would bbq one every now and then and like I say it was good but greasy !! Had mountain oysters on the side he he he !!!
