Love the video format! Jeremy is sooo careful to avoid naming capitalism as the main culprit for the crisis we are in. He says: “The kind of spirituality I am talking about is a deep understanding of the systemic interrelation between all things.” This can mean anything. So, can we get one worker = one share = one vote in capitalism corporations please?

32:47 that is a really well formulated question! I just might steal that :)

I agree with Jeremy that meaning can make a difference. Humans are the only ape that managed to escape the dominance of the alpha male. Now we need language and collaboration to use governance to escape the dominance of the powerful few. Yes difficult, but not impossible. Jeremy check out John Vervaeke's Awakening from the meaning crisis if you are not aware of it - you will love it! Thanks

I think when we put these new ideas of being in the world ( maybe not that new, indigenous cosmo vision were strongly based on an interconnected Earth and cosmos), it is like planting seeds...it takes time.

Those subtitles are really not doing it.

Hey! Do let me know how you'd prefer the subtitles to be and I'll make sure to implement.
@KosaBrin2 жыл бұрын
@@PlanetCritical Hi! KZbin creates them automatically for you. You just have to go into your video editor and click on subtitles on the left. There you can ad any language you would like and people can turn it on or off if they like. Personally they detract me, so I do not turn them on. The fact that they are pushed on me in the video is not ok. Especially if they have mistakes in them. Very distracting. Watch a video on youtube on how to edit subtitles. I do it all the time with my videos. Its really not hard. Hope that helps. Best to you.

I love Ms. Donald's podcast. Such challenging and diverse topics and commentators. But...I have a secret to confess. I have worked in your landfills. Scaled the peak of Garbage Mountain many times. I have closely examined what Americans consider the detritus of their lives. Your journals, your photographs, your business communications....and best of all, your angry letters. Breaking out of increasingly sophisticated advertising? Hmm....after three generations and counting? Not bloody likely. Certainly not with the time constraint we have.

I prefer to black out my screen and save electricity while listening to videos but Rachel is too beautiful to take my eyes off of! Btw psilocybin makes you feel more connected to your fellow man. Ps: I’d like to see you sport a blue Mohawk or something wild Rach. This haircut is not my fave…

@@johnbanach3875 The details are more than I care to type out. In short civilization is unsustainable, full stop. Humanity has vastly exceeded the earth's carrying capacity and is about to undergo a massive die back. No amount of cooperation and PLUR is going to change that, no matter how much MDMA you take. One could, but nobody does, argue cooperation and PLUR is what painted us into this corner. Oh, and want to try a fun game? Take a drink every time Jeremy says "integration." See how how far into the video you can make it before you pass TF out, lol
