@@itacryan I do think it makes her win controversial in a way, but not in the typical way. Past controversial winners are seen as undeserving. With Kenzie, a lot of people do think she deserved it while also feeling super confused as to how Charlie lost which is where I’m at. Usually controversial winners get lots of hate and backlash but in this case it is the bitter juror Maria getting all of the heat

i think comparing denise to maria was a false equivalency. imo, kenzie emulated denise in many more ways... small in stature, was on a disastrous tribe in which her social connections and early alliances kept her in the game (in which her tribemates knew her social game would sail her to final three/winner status), always having hope while also being pragmatic, and taking the time to stroke the jury's egos in order to not leave a sour taste in their mouths when it came time to final tribal.

I said this on Idoled Out’s post-cast assessment video, but Bhanu was either this really tragic narrator who was in over his head and never could really get his foot in the game or he was a mess that certain people think represents everything wrong with modern Survivor. He has to be the most divisive character of the season because of how much of a trainwreck he was

Best season in a while. Not a lot of twists, cast that carried the season which some memorable characters I’d want to see back, and chaos. Fix the first 4 episodes being so boring to watch the same tribe go to tribal lose and I’d take this season every year.

I'd argue the fake idol was Villian and Dumb. Absolutely no benefit for Kenzie to do that in a tribe of 5 premerge. If Tiffany did it to conceal her idol that's one thing. If Kenzie did it to trick the rest of the tribe into voting out Bhanu that's another. But there was literally 0 benefits for her doing that other than making her and Tiffany look like jerks. You know, before the Q and Maria show took over.

Honestly I'm legit just fed up with immunity idols at this point. After the real and fake pairs in season 44 and then everyone just wasting their idols this last season, just get rid of it entirely. The Amazing Race got rid of the Non Elimination Legs, why not this? I want to see people be forced into the social game more rather than being given freebies to the next round.

@@XanderMatthews-nv9zf an easier way they could have handled the Shot in the Dark would be to have 2 people convince Jess they are voting with her, making Jess's vote the on ecrucial vote needed (in her mind) to save her game. It's less mean than a fake idol, we don't see a villian edot of the tribe making fun of Jess for not finding the idol because she's pribably exahusted/dehydrated, and also think about this. Q just gives her the idol in the end. Why? If i were Jess i'd know 100% to play my SITD because he's never been shown interacting with me.

Completely disagree with Probst on Bhanu. Bhanu isn't critiqued for his authenticity but rather for how overly exposed his content is, zero self-awareness, and how much his content DRAGGED 4 episodes where one was 2 HOURS. He just isn't a good character. Jeff is just surrounded by sycophants like Dee and Devens who will never critique him, and his statement can basically be boiled down to "you're wrong for like liking my decision to cast him".

Casts make or break a season. Which is why this season is a bad one for me. I never had a season where I didn’t like anyone on the cast after the premiere episode and I didn’t warm to anyone till like episode 5. I never warmed up to Kenzie but that is probably because she was a human personification of a Mary Sue with how she was edited.

Fully disagree on labeling ANY part of Kenzie's treatment of Bhanu as anything other than Villainous. Was Bhanu someone who shouldn't have been on Survivor? Yes. Was Bhanu legitimately having mental health breakdowns and anxiety attacks? Also yes. Did he deserve to be CONSTANTLY mocked and cruelly ridiculed for it by Kenzie even after he was gone? Hell no. Her treatment of him turned me off of her completely, and made her "support" of Ben feel fake.
