Even before Sea of Stars, this somehow always felt like the most significant track in the game. Imagine -- you're learning more by the moment of the curse and danger this world has been plummeted into, and you've been given the blessing of not only others who took on your task before you, but by souls kindred to the sun and moon themselves? You hear bits of it in the underwater maze, you're hit with a sudden importance to the place when you get there that only multiplies when plot gets involved... Quite possibly the zone that means the most, and has the soundtrack to back it up.

**spoilers talked about* My take on it is this is ONE of the worlds that got doomed by the fleshmancer sending the four and dweller of strife. It's unclear on how resh'an split the timelines. Is it that there are multiple timelines with Valere and Zale? And the one you play in SoS is a successful one? Does Seria's world count as a different one where the solstice warriors failed? So I'm not too melancholic. They say this world was cut off from the sea of stars so I think this was all they could do before being cut off completely. And despite all that the Flesh cancer threw at it. Humanity prevailed.

I felt so charged up while finding my way to the Sunken Shrine listening to the progressively amping up music increasing in tempo and volume as I got nearer. The moment I set foot on the gate of the Shrine, the music was on the high tempo mode and it was a moment like no other!!

I'm going to be honest. This area hit me on an emotional level. The story leading up to this point that basically said that you were the last hope for this world, the ambiance, THE MUSIC! All made for an incredible stage, and by the end, the two old gods aiding you with the last remnants of their powers and vanishing away in the process because no one believed in them anymore. That especially hit me hard because I grew up in a religious household and because I've always been fascinated by ancient cultures. Even if it isn't true, the idea that an omnipotent being that has made so much good in the world can just... vanish, simply because people stopped believing in them made me just sit there with my controller in my hand and think for a while (i think I almost cried tbh lol). I've never felt this way with any videogame, heck, any art ever. This game and this area will always have a special place in my heart and I'll always be thankful for the people over at sabotage studio for creating this BEATIFULL gem that made me rethink completely my realtionship with God and ancient cultures' relationships with their gods as well, making me appreciate the life I have now a lot more.
