Everything Julius Caesar did was strategic. He butchered the pirates he'd played games with while being held hostage. Reputation no one kidnaps Julius Caesar He stole vast amounts from the tribes of modern France and Germany ... and carried out gross acts of mutilation on the ancient Gauls. Strategy: they'll be alive but unable too fight effectively. He divorced his wife for infidelity although she hadn't been unfaithful - and everyone knew she hadn't, although there wss a slight shadow on her. Reputation again. In one of his own books, he said he'd killed a million people.

I mean i dont blame the senators for there anger and hate towards caesar. Cause caesar went against them and there orders and he crossed the rubicon and declared war on rome he also took away there power over rome that the senators had been in power that had lasted over the republic since 509b.c when it was first established cause of Roman power in the hands of one man would've destroyed rome but he declared himself dictator for life King emperor and god but i believe it was also Gaul that also made them hate caesar even more cause Gaul not only was a ally and Rome provence but Gaul also payed tribute to rome and the Senators thought that by killing Caesar everything would go back to normal but it completely did the opposite cause caesars death practically did more damage and destruction than good cause it completely ripped the Roman Republic apart but the best greatest achievement that rose out of the Ashes was Octavian who'll go down in our history as one of the greatest people in history who changed Rome drastically but also establish one of the most flourishing and influential and most powerful and long lasting Empires in history and who'll Rule Rome as her first Emperor
