Being at the risk of being overly wordy, Wow - (easily one of the most useful(from every conceivable viewpoint - both business and life in general ) videos I have seen in quite some time. I loved the step-by-step, the extremely important and often overlooked definitions of what your words were meaning - honestly, everything about this presentation was, timely, professional, informative and just generally beyond excellent, thank you for taking the time and effort to put this together and post

As someone ADHD, it is wildly attractive to see someone’s brain work like this. It’s like ASMR for my soul.

I’m working on starting a business and I have really enjoyed just how well this is explained to create a work flow. I’m going to use this to create a customer intake process and automate several steps with technology. Thank you so much Layla!

Great value. Whenever i have tried mapping and systematisation I overly complicate it by not including the process within a process or having the end point too far off. This helped into chunking down how I think about processes.

Amazing, very helpful. I will be sharing this with my service desk manager to enhance their ticket triage, ticket workflow. we are an IT support company, and visualizing systems using Layla’s video will greatly help. I do like to have a chat with Layla if we can have her help us.

A Cross Functional Matrix is a good framework to build processes as well.

I watched some of your videos but maybe i missed one. Because there is one big question open for me. You define the process and than you create SOP in Clickup. How you organize the SOP in Clickup that they are easy to find and in some logic linked to the process which is defined in a chart (tool or whiteboard)? You just add the Clickup task id or you recommend some special structur? Thanks.
@LaylaPomper21 сағат бұрын
I recommend a special structure. We bake it into a whole operations structure, actually, called HQ. I teach this inside our Foundations program. 😉

Wrong way to focus the camera. It should have been facing the white board not at an angle

That doesn't matter. The good thing is you're a very good speaker without emm, err etc.

W. Edwards Deming came up with 'process mapping' in the 1950s. TQM. It's not a new concept.
@LaylaPomper21 сағат бұрын
Most accounts I’ve read date the practice back to the 1920s and similar practices are found from even earlier. But “being new” isn’t required for a concept to be useful to learn! In fact, it’s generally the opposite. This basic practice’s staying power is all the more reason businesses in 2025 need to know this.

How can AI help here?

AI can generate maps and help you spot errors. But this most valuable for humans.

Now what happens if that who is the only person that can do that and no one can cover them when they take time off or are taken away by rabid roving games of chihuahuas? Asking for a friend who is currently on vacation and knows there will be an amazing amount of work waiting for me... er... him no matter how much he trained people.
@Sharedpath7772 күн бұрын
Soak up the vacation and activate a positive mindset when you get back to job 😂😅 If you are a decision maker in the company seek to hire someone who really loves whatever the job is and pour into them and document document document.
@LaylaPomper21 сағат бұрын

If hiring is off the table… Make a point to cross-train existing folks until all key work is covered. ☺️
@MatthewEaton14 сағат бұрын
@@LaylaPomper Sadly, there isn't any way to cross-train people. The company is question doesn't believe it needs to train others in this particular subject because it means they have to pay more for it.
