You mentioned you had bad performance on battery. There are performance profiles (power mode) that are separate to the min/max CPU, and there is a separate one for plugged in vs battery. you used to be able to click on the battery to switch between them, but on windows 11 it's a little weirder, but still look for it under the battery/notification. There should be a slider between battery life and performance

The dynamic range difference between your opening sound effect, and the narration is stupidly huge. It's 130am here, and I just woke up the whole house. Turning down for the sound effect, now I can't hear the narration.

On standard use you can listen a constant "uhmm" if the fan go up in speed start to be a grind sound ... i don't know if it's normal or not anymore.

The one thing I hate about the laptop is the slim pen 2's lack of customization, especially for apps without built in support for the pen. I would love if Microsoft would let us remap the side button and eraser tip(not the BT button, but the actual eraser pressing screen). Also a default haptic whenever the pen touches or drags across the screen, for programs without that support would be nice too, as I really miss it not being in apps like Clip Studio Paint. Other than that I love the laptop. I just wish there was a more cintiq like pen with the customization available.

Hi Tablet Pro, I wanted to update you on my experience of using the Asus Rog Flow z13 as a zbrush and drawing workstation since I thought u might be interested. Zbrush experience is great with the Tablet pro app and no complaints there, the laptop performs great for gaming and creative work. The screen looks great and battery life is completely acceptable once I started treating it more as a laptop than a tablet, since sometimes I charged tablets every few days, while this one I charge daily, sometimes even twice daily. Pen pressure is solid, im using the renaisser R530. There are only 2 real downsides an artist will have (that i found so far): 1.a smaller ploblem which is the delay of lineart being somewhat noticeably behind the pen while drawing. Not terrible but far from great compared to an Ipad or samsung galaxy tab 2.A very annoying problem for drawing (not really an issue for Zbrush): ONLY WHILE HOVERING :the cursor on-screen seems to have an ignore movement zone of a few milimeters. If i move the pen around the cursor a few milimiters in any direction, the on-screen cursor doesnt move AT ALL. It seems to ignore that movement to make it "look smoother" or something, but id love to turn it off somehow, wondering if you know how to disable it? It makes it very hard to see where exactly the pen will land with a hover cursor cause the hover is ignoring part of the movement, while the real touch wont ignore it. 3.Only regarding the pen, renaisser R530s buttons are way too stiff and hard to notice the position of them without looking, I have carpal tunnel so stiff buttonsa are a huge downside for me. I do need another pen with 2 buttons so im also wondering if u have a suggestion?

I was on the fence between the Studio and the Surface Pro8 and went for the latter. I'm an architect and I walk around with my laptop all day, so it came down to portability and lightness. I can still play some old games and having the i7 16gb version I might buy an EGPU in the future! I'm really happy with it, my only complaint is the battery, but still wonder if I should have gone for the studio!

@@michaelpenzel5251 I work with Archicad and that's more than fine, I do some light rendering with Twinmotion just for myself, to help visualizing, the heavy work is done on Lumion in a desktop I have in the office. I don’t think so. But I’ve rarely had a machine that I thought that. I think most surface devices the screens are similar in gloss. So I’d say it’s better than the other surface devices. Similar to the screen from a Surface Pro X if you’ve seen that. But with higher refresh.

The design of the Surfacebook 3 is much better for drawing, larger screen, higher resolution MUCH better drawing angle.
@TabletPro Жыл бұрын
If you use the studio backwards you have all the same drawing angles as the Surface Book 3. Drawing line quality is superior by far on the Surface Laptop Studio. Don’t get me wrong sb3 and Surface Laptop Studio performance was almost identical. The new Surface Laptop Studio 2 brighter screen and new gpu is wildly more powerful than the Surface Laptop Studio. But pricy.
@JoeKovacic Жыл бұрын
How would you use the studio backwards? I like the larger screen of the SB3 more drawing area, and the tablet only portion is much lighter than the whole laptop while I have a power going into it. It is fast enough for almost all my drawing apps while plugged in. Brighter is not an issue as I do not like the brightest setting of the SB3 any way
@TabletPro Жыл бұрын
@JoeKovacic point the keyboard away from you and flip the screen to face the back. Spin the device towards you. Then when you adjust the angle and have all the angles available. I get your point on the lightness part. For sure much lighter. But how do you prop it up? Currently I use my devices on a stand at a little lower than eye level. Works well for me but I’m not supporting the weight myself. (Wonderful feeling)

@@TabletPro By the way I love your videos! I have a foldable MS keyboard beside me with the tablet in my lap with a bean bag pillow as I watch TV, or I have a station with an adjustable stand that I use to plug me into the 4K monitor and external NMVe drive. At the station I use the tablet backwards on the base to use the NVIDIA gpu, I use the foldable MS keyboard along with the little ProPoint mouse. Both the mouse and foldable keyboard are so light and compact that they can go with you anywhere. Love the flexibility and portability. Again love your videos.
