I “officially” became a net worth millionaire when I turned 39 (I got a call from my financial advisor informing me of my new status). I was surprised to learn my daily habits I unconsciously developed as I moved into the millionaire class mirrored EXACTLY the habits of other “everyday” millionaires as described in the featured book. I am 76 and still work full time as a medical director for a very large health insurance company. I have zero debt. My net worth is now well into 8 figures putting me into the 1% Financial Club living in California. BTW, I still drive a very well maintained 2011 Prius even though I can buy 5 Lamborghinis (in cash) without batting an eye and still have plenty of money to outlast me for 2 lifetimes!! My home is a standard 3 bedroom 2 bath house. We fly economy class for flights that are less than 5 hours. Living the dream! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Man, being a millionaire in 1987 is like 2.78 million in today's money. You were ballin at 39. I wish I could get there, but I'll only barely be a millionaire in today's money at 40.... T.T

Your channel has a lot more value that many others as it focuses on habits, learnings and focusing. A bunch of the other channels just focus on living with minimalism, and only focus on the habits of how they got where they are. What you put out there is a blueprint for a person's future.

To get to that milestone you need to be wary of high debt levels, poor spending habits that drain finances, neglecting savings and investments which hinders wealth accumulation. Being financially aware would be of great deal. i can say that helped me in life to reach my first million and i also sought help to handle my portfolio which was my foundation. i'm ever grateful to Susan Kay Mack my FA.

When I was in high school, I had a debate with one of my teachers who pushed that we should all follow our passion when selecting our careers. I asked him if that passion led to little to no money, what use could that be? More than a decade later, I'm glad I took the stance I did and it's not changing one bit. Granted, I believe we should all choose something that we don't dislike altogether--at least it shouldn't be detrimental to your mental and physical health whenever possible. But the older I got, the more I realized that there's a lot to pay for in life, and having the capital to live the way you want, protect your family and to be able to shoulder life's unexpected surprises is a peace of mind that's priceless to me.
@colinrussell20172 ай бұрын
It think the whole "follow your passion" thing has been misconstrued over time and is kind of backwards. I think it's about being passionate about what you do, getting really good at it and then opportunities open up.

In no order: 1) VOO 2) QQQM 3) SCHG/VUG 4) VTI 5) SCHD/DGRO. Personally I put down 1.2m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. it was this time last year I made my first break through with a liquid 370k. Handed it to a trader here in TX, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. Tesla will be a huge buy for me when the market bottoms.

I’m retired. Your story of a conservative savings profile is a common one. Any course of action involves risks. You might be avoiding market risk, but you are taking on other risks like inflation and reinvestment risk.

My wife is willing to work for another 5 years if needed. Are we in good shape? Will we be okay if I begin withdrawing from Social Security when I’m 62 and my wife is 67? Should we hire a financial planner to help us navigate this?
@clementdan94172 ай бұрын
No one likes market risk, but without longer retirement, taking on risk is often a necessary evil to compensate for inflation.

@richarddamien Certainly get a pro to look at your predicament (if you even have one, lol) A second opinion from acomprehensive financial adviser can help you look at more than just your current estimate of cash flow and needs but also longevity risk, outliving your money, tax considerations, legacy planning, healthcare costs, inflation and a myriad of other things you may not be considering when reviewing your current situation

For the Newbie if you are actually trading in the crypto space and you don't have a sound mentor. Then you are certainly going to get liquidated in 90% of your trades. Yeah that's sad truth. I remember when i just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 i ended up selling it because i have lost alot trading all by myself without a guide. Got back into crypto early in 2024 with $20k and I'm up with $232k in a short period of time

Hi, I would like to share my way of thinking. Sorry in advance for my broken English I’m french. To be transparent and give you some context: I come from the poorest city of North France, create a company and sold it. Allowing me to be 8 figures the month of my 30’s. I think it’s a bit misleading to say in the video that most millionaires lives in a normal home because of the home price increase valuate actually their home easily for a million. It might be true that 10-20 years ago millionnaire was really ahead the financial game. Now times are different and a million is not enough to be free of your time and choose your level of comfort in this uncertain time we are living in. I see a huge gap between millionaire and 8 figures in terms of freedom and peace of mind. Don’t wait to start, create, sell and invest because the real devaluation of money is not the 3% inflation but 6%. Inflation is just the increase in term of price for daily basis. The money supply is the real thing to take in consideration. How to be rich is not easy but have a simple process: create a company, sell it at a price you’re comfortable and consider the “enough” when you can live without stress and obligations.

The “best things are free” is ABSOLUTELY incorrect! The cost of lost opportunity must be factored in when doing “free things” such as walking your dog, playing with your kids, watching TV, and getting a tan!! If you earn, for example, $10.00 an hour, then spending an hour walking dog actually cost you $10.00 you could have earned!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
