Thanks Frank and Mrs.S . and thanks Don. I actually saw this when it aired. I never missed the Dean martin Show or Uncle Milty (Milton Berle). I love the Mills Brothers. I have a few of their records (all on 78 rpm.

My Dad loved Mills Brothers! Dad had a blues, country band, but introduced me to every genre of music! Also love Dean Martin, he made singing so effortless.

A lot of people fail to realize just how great an entertainer Deano was! Truly one of a kind whether singing, acting and more... Think about his career, singing and comedy with Frank and Sammy, acting with The Duke... what a life And yeah, I may be an old hillbilly, but was raised on the Rat Pack and Tony Bennett as well :)

To Frank and his Mom - I hope this put a smile on your faces like it did on mine. This takes me back to early tv when they had variety shows like this. There is nothing like it today. There were performers and comedy sketches, and even though I was a little kid, they still linger in memory.

Dean adopted his relax, style of singing from Harry ( he's standing between Dean and the guitar player) This was a real thrill for him to sing with his idol.

This was put out some 2 years ago. I don’t know if you have listened to anything else by the Mills Brothers, but this is only a very very tiny little sampling of just how great they were. There’s an OUTSTANDING [ color] video of the Mills Brothers in their later years in concert: BASIN STREET BLUES/ Up A Lazy River, And TIGER RAG , an older video, fun, I HEARD, CARAVAN [ must be watched LIVE, as they show their “Instrumentation “, without instruments. This video does nothing to show their real talents ‼️ 📻🙂

His comedic side flourished when he no longer had to play straight man to Jerry Louis. They were great together, but Dean kind of got overshadowed.
