I forgot about this lesson you showed. A great way to keep dancing in one spot when no one is moving and we are boxed in.

Thank you. There's a 3rd way I always thought it was also called a traspie. I personally call it as "half, hesitation, interrupted step" for better memory retention. You just gave me a new meaning "atras pie"😅

Hi, Pablo and Anne, I have a question not related to your today’s video but to the one about enganches from some time ago. What exactly is the difference between gancho and enganche? I could not find the answer from any of my teachers, nor in any glossary of tango terms. In some other videos I can see the difference, but when it comes to description, I get a little confused. How would you describe it in words? If you manage to find some time to give me the answer, I’ be glad. Regards and abrazos, Edi

It is like in "gancho" (hook) follower actively does the figure, as if hooking up free leg actively around leader's standing leg. Whereas in "enganche" (hitch) it is as if the follower's free leg is stuck around an obstacle (leader's standing leg) and the figure occurs unconsciously/naturally.
