Thank you guys for what you are doing. I totally agree about brands. I am a nurse and I have bought all kinds of shoes for comfort and it's always the Skechers that are most comfortable. I always buy them on sale/clearance and I wear the same pair every day until they are worn out then buy a new pair - on sale. Other than that, if I am wearing or carrying a brand name item, you can bet I got it at a thrift store or yard sale. I have a Vera Bradley wallet. A friend of mine bought hers new for $40 something and buys a new one a couple of times a year. I bought mine at a yard sale for $2.00. I've been using it for 4 years.

For September I did a no spend Challenge for clothes. Absolutely no clothes bought this month. After watching The True Cost documentary...it was very eye opening on Fast Fashion. Plus I have hoarded clothes from the past decade...I don’t need any new clothes coming in!!

@@Jennifer-1724 oh wow! I’m happy I saw this! Since then I’ve Decluttered thousand of items, only got “new clothing” from my town’s giving page (and I put my clothes on there for other people!) And I’ve done No Spend Challenges ever since and became Debt-Free and have a 6 month emergency fund! Thank you for reminding how far I came in 2 years ❤️🙏🏻❤️ Have a super great day!!!

Brand loyalty sometimes continues because people don't want to research who makes the best gadget NOW. They purchased their gadget a few years ago and it worked well. Now it's time to replace it and they just go with the updated version of what they had rather than finding the best gadget today.

I really enjoyed this topic. Very relevant to how we make decisions and you guys gave great insight on how to go about thinking about it before deciding where to buy. Loved this one!!!

Excellent content. Thank you. I used to eat McDonalds, but I never felt full, so I stopped eating it. I used to buy Nike clothes, but their prices went up, I stopped buying them. I used to rely on Microsoft computers so I can do my work, but they forced me to download updates that ruined my computer and spy on me, so now I use Linux. I couldn't be happier. What I have noticed about brand loyalty is the Placebo effect where people think they feel better about continuously buying products from the same brand but it's actually doing them even more harm and they are not aware of it.

I always say this to my fiends and they can't understand this and allway go for the overpriced thing even if i have same quality product (that they like) at a better price (some people even say yuck when they hear the price of my no name less known brand since is to cheap) IT's SAD
