My wife & I actually have some Johnsonville brats in our fridge right now for this weekend, cheese filled turkey sausages. They have that one there and several others in out supermarkets over here. They are pretty good, especially grilled.

A subway hotdog option seems like such a good idea, so many topping options. i hope they bring that to my area! As for Johnsonville Brats, they're the leader in sausage in the states, not hot dogs but mostly brats and such.

Congratulations winners! We, most certainly, do have Johnsonville sausages here in the US. My favorites are the brats. Haven't had them for a while because inflation here is horrible. We just have to settle for what is the cheapest, if we want sausages. The cheese dog did really look yummy. That is a shame about the bun, though. Usually the bun will get tough in the microwave but not in a toaster oven. What a shame.

The texture of that Misudo bun reminds me of a "french hotdog" (it isn't actually french) which I think is supposed to be like a baguette but it's always way more dense and chewy.

Oddly enough we don't have Johnsonville smoked sausages in link form. They sell it in rope form. They sell brats and hot links in the form you show. They also sell the fresh brats that haven't been pre-cooked. A package of smoked brats goes for $4-5 dollars US. I still have to do a hot dog series here. Dog Haus and Wurstkuche are two of the better places out here. Best value here is Costco or Sam's Club.

The supermarket dog didn’t look terrible but I don’t think I would enjoy it cold. I think they missed an opportunity for something wild at mister donut. I was thinking they should make a custom glazed donut for the hot dog bun 🤣 KFC made a special chicken sandwich in early 2020 that had fresh glazed donuts for the buns.

It's funny how growing up eating food a certain way can make you almost feel physically ill when you see it a different way, like ketchup on a hot dog. Where I grew up on the East Coast you might see relish and mustard or sauerkraut and mustard but you would never, ever see ketchup on a hot dog.
