"Yep" I swear to god guys I have ADHD because I was sure I was silent throughout the whole thing just listening. Whole time I was trying not to whistle or make a noise in the middle of his sentences and I guess the "yep" and the head nodding were just a side effect.

MMA media doesn't really have a guy who can crack a joke. He is well deserving of the growth. But remember Being an interviewer is also a skill. Honestly i dont know if i want guru to branch into the interviews on a regular.... dont think he would be a good "mainstream" fit. Cant imagine him acting nice and not speaking his mind all the time. In the same way his studio move didn't feel right, i think the same goes for his interviews and going on podcasts. But i might be wrong.

It’s very wholesome to see you be one of the only people on the planet to acknowledge, admire, and push Dricus as the next title contender, and justifiably so. Also very wholesome seeing the smile he can’t help but crack while you are one of the few people that seem to be acknowledging his accomplishment(s). I’ve slept on him myself but it’s so good to see you have a conversation with him. I’m ngl I’m a Strickland guy, but best wishes to dricus

Guru, if you read this, I humbly ask you do one thing as you go forward in your career covering MMA. Please do not ever change. You’re going to continue to grow and soon be a household name in the greater mma community. Please do not ever soften your takes, pander to fighters, etc. It will be tempting for you, because of the allure of being an even bigger name in hopes of more money. You have a chance to continue to greatly influence the mma world and raise the bar for quality content. Love your shit brother. Best mma content on the internet.

For a first interview, this was a great start! The technical issues are something you can easily fix and your questions made the conversation flow naturally. The "ticks" as you suspect are just nerves anyone would have in this situation. The things we might do when we are pressured to do something important to us does not equal a disorder! The only thing I could critique is when DDP was giving you a compliment for all your hard work, you kind of interjected, though it wasn't in a rude way. Let the man cook that guru stew for ya!! You deserve to hear some type of acknowledgement outside your community. Anyways, well done. Looking forward to the South Africa trip

Its actually very interesting to see Guru communicating with someone who truly he respects. Its very rare lol. Guru must saw something with Dricus for him to be polite towards him all the time. DUDE, it's insane how far you've come. DDP really shows how much he appreciates ur content & insight on this sport. It's so REFRESHING! I'm glad you are getting success from just Being yourself and speaking truths that a big amount of the MMA community can relate to. Just keep doing your thing and just look how far it's gotten you already! It's an amazing thing. I really hope the UFC gives DDP his shot because no one has run thru Whittaker like that lately and if they did, they for sure earn a title shot in that division. (Man video calls and crappy Internet connection lagginess really makes conversations such a tricky back and forth thing. I have enough trouble with my video call appointments. It's frustrating as hell but you did really good under those circumstances)
