I think all of these instances happened waaaaay in the past. (FYI, I'm not a fan) Stuff is coming to light NOW but happened in the past all around the same time. I think James has learned now to 1) always ask for ID to show proof of age, and 2) keep a full record of every single conversation PERIOD. I def think this is a good case of why people need community but not celebrity and certainly not at a young age. James found a community he loved and who loved him as his authentic self doing the thing he loves but it came with this celebrity that made it so he lost some pretty valuable years of just being a kid while he was still truly finding himself. I don’t think you come out of that ok. It’s no excuse, he has the resources, capacity and responsibility to seek the help he needs but it does at least seem like he’s a good person (not continuing to pursue once he knows they’re underage, learning that getting with straight men is not sustainable) who just needs to work through some underlying issues and grow past them (like why is he attracted to boyish masc. brunettes who look like him at a younger age).
