I like Edwards Godzilla movie but the issue with it is it focused too much on the human aspect and how the world itself was effected by the events. I feel like Skull Island created a perfect blend of monsters and human emotion as it was tackling a real world issue of how soldiers felt after the immediate aftermath of The Vietnam War, but it made sure that the fantastical world they’ve created is the main focus. 2014 Godzilla is good but there’s not very many fantastical elements it’s just regular Earth with monsters tearing through it so having the later films embrace the idea of what a world where Kaiju exist and what that would be like makes the world far more interesting

I feel like having Packard’s scenes where he actually does try to be a hero probably should have been left in. The whole point of his character is he’s a decorated war hero who felt like he was thrown away by the US Government when they pulled the troops out of Nam and saw Kong as an enemy because he killed his men so cutting scenes where he actually tried to help them would probably flesh him out more

The idea of 682 in the Monsterverse is wild but it would also imply that other SCPs, safe and world-destroying, exist in that world and I am terrified by that yet interested. Part of me wants Legendary to make an SCP movie but I quickly remembered that all SCPs are made by individual writers. Maybe some writers would be honored, maybe some won't. Who knows. All I know is that if an official SCP movie was being made I personally would want non-monstrous, humanoid SCPs to be included somehow, like Cain and Abel or Iris (SCP-105). Good lord imagine 953 running about...

My addition to the varan entry: There also seems to have been another titan that showed up with varan at Siberia and it has a lot of resemblance to mothra, but looked more like a evil, violent version that Monarch decided to call Batra. Reportedly, Godzilla and mothra have gone missing from Monarch’s radars, so all they could assume was that those two wanted to “pay the Siberian titans a little visit”. Where it might happened and/or the events of it are classified

Likely reason why people thought Mega Godzilla would be in the film would be that the monsterverse largely stays away from toy only things. Most of the toys end up being in some way representative of what you'll see in the movie. Also Mega Godzilla got reworked into mega heat ray Godzilla.

Legendary Godzilla is my personal favorite. The design is realistic-ish but not realistic enough to potentially be just wierd looking.(also the sleekest Godzilla design.) I think it's because I like his head out of any other Godzilla who while VERY iconic, are just a bit too cartoony for me.

Also, would like to see references to Love and Monsters in the MonsterVerse (maybe creatures based on the ones in that movie can be used as Hollow Earth fauna, but they can be renamed with 2005 Skull Island creature names, e.g. the giant centipede can be called the Megapede and the giant crab can be named Cutiscidis or Cunaepredator). Additionally, the next instalments should have dinosaurs as Hollow Earth fauna (my guess is that there should be Brontosaurus, raptors called Venatosaurus, Stegosaurus/Kentrosaurus/Miragaia hybrids called Atercurisaurus, and hadrosaurs called Ligocristus).

I love the idea of more Toho monsters being tied into the Monsterverse, especially ones like Varan who haven't gotten much time to shine. On the other hand, we have all these new kaiju with tons of potential that I really want to see fleshed out, particularly Behemoth and Scylla. Mammalian kaiju are few and far between, and Scylla's just an interesting design.
