I think Marichat won the balcony scene because I loved how he opened up to her! I loved how they interacted with one another, it was adorable. I love Ladyboir too but Marichat just seemed to have more connection if that makes sense. Like the Ladynoir was so cute too, but I loved it when Chatnoir opened up to Marinette. It is pretty clear that Adrien has feelings for Marinette I would even say be in love with her but his feelings for Ladybug gets in the way of accepting and realizing his feelings for Marinette and same goes for Marinette her feelings for Adrien gets in the way of accepting and realizing her feelings for Cat Noir. All that aside I wanna point out two important things Adrien said in two episodes that at the very least clarifies to me that Adrien has feelings for Marinette though some people might not agree with me and that’s ok given the circumstances in the first one I’m gonna talk about of the two. When Adrien found out Marinette was Ladybug in the episode Cat Blanc and yes I know some people may say he only said what he said because he now knew she was Ladybug and only had feelings for the Ladybug side to her and not for the Marinette side but their is an important part Adrien said *I’ve realized you’re not just a friend to me I always felt like you were more than that and now I know why* I’ll tell you what the *why* means. The moment Adrien found out Marinette was Ladybug he finally put all the pieces together and realized the qualities he fell in love with in Ladybug were in Marinette and the qualities he loved in Marinette were in Ladybug remember what Adrien said in the episode Mayura to Marinette *Your our every day Ladybug* so given the very fact that he went as far as even comparing Marinette to the girl he is in love with that means Adrien saw the qualities in Ladybug in Marinette that he loved. It just took realizing and finding out Marinette and Ladybug were the same person for Adrien to finally realize he was in love with Marinette because like I said his feelings for Ladybug kept getting in the way of realizing those feelings for Marinette so Adrien isn’t just in love with the Ladybug side to Marinette he’s also in love with the Marinette side to her and always has been❤️.

Just the fact that he took the time to make her a gift, that is sentimental and irreplaceable, means that it holds a deeper significance. I really love the umbrella scene because he chose to give her protection almost like a shield so that she would not get wet. This validates that there is more to their friendship. He does appear to get closer to Marinette in NY and he does feel comfortable and he sees her more than a friends. I like MariChat but my only concern would be that it would be a repeat of Chat Blanc because only one of them would really know the others identity. I’m a true believer that it’s either, they both share their identity with each other or remain anonymous because it would be too dangerous. If they knew each other secret, this would give more reason to grow as lovers, friends, and partners (social and emotional stability). If they began dating as LadyNoir it would also cause problems because if they get hurt in battle, they would probably give up the Miraculous to save their true love OR give a reason to not give up and continue to fight. We see that they enjoy each other’s company, when everything seems to be so bad or stressful for them. But it also paves the way to be more serious with each other and cause less distractions. They pick each other up without knowing that underneath the mask, they are still important people to each other. They also met first as LadyBug and Chat Noir before they met as students in the same school. Maybe hinting or foreshadowing their relationship status. I hope this makes sense. I like the LadyNoir scene hands down because she was able to express herself without fault. He being the true gentleman, respected her decision. The scene with Marinette and Chat Noir was amazing but I kept thinking that it's Adrien who is really expressing himself because my mind I have reinforced Chat Noir with Ladybug. He's never been so vulnerable but when with Ladybug he's certain of his feelings and actions. He doesn't repress with Marinette because he knows the type of person she is. One of my favorite moon scenes is again in season4 when they realize they can always trust each other no matter what lies. I found this so important because we know they can grow together, always trusting each other no matter what their lives hold in the future.They enjoy each other’s company and value one another.

I literally never thought about the significance of the moon in the show! It makes so much sense though, because there's this scene in Sand Boy where ladybug asked Cat Noir if he really saw her as his nightmare version of her, showing us that she cares of what he really thinks of her. This scene never leaves my mind because it's kinda shocking how vulnerable ladybug looked and coincidentally it was also night time. I'd like a shout-out, please. My favorite moon scene is the LadyNoir Moon scene at the end of Glaciator. It's quite iconic and even though she us rejecting him in this scene, the fact thst she is telling him that she sees him as a friend is actually quite sweet. She is revealing that she does care about him a lot and sees him as more than a partner despite not reciprocating her romantic feelings. That's even better because she's seen a different side to him now and knows that he's not joking about his feelings for her.

This was such a lovely video essay gahhh I can't even! ;w; One thing I thought about was the Christmas Special where Ladybug is singing about the "boy that she secretly loves" and how the moon is out because we see it in earlier parts of the special. I can't excatly tell if the Ladynoir balcony scene was better or the Marichat one but I know that both have scenes have a special place in my heart as it is the time when the both of them (Marinette and Adrien) were being open to each other and telling about their feelings as superheroes. I loved this video and I don’t want this to seem like a hate comment, but I was overthinking and when you said “Adrien was the sun and Marinette was his moon,” I feel like it wasn’t completely accurate. Instead, if feel that Marinette is the sun, and Adrien is the moon. Marinette brings out the ‘sun’ in Adrien, while Adrien brings out the ‘moon’ in Marinette. Kind of like the light and dark dot in yin and yang. Adrien counterbalanced Marinette’s feistiness with ease in the scene where Lila was spreading lies. In contrast, Marinette brings light to Adriens life, shown in many episodes, but most prominent in the nyc episode, where she convinces his father to free him from the darkness of his home. The sun makes the moon shine, and Marinette does this for Adrien, and in the newest episode, with Zoe as well. Idk maybe you have a different opinion, it’s just interesting to think about.

I have a theory, can you look at the connection between the akumatized person and themselves as civilians? For example, Luka is kind and sweet but as the villain he's silent and deadly, same goes for Sabrina. But I want to specifically go at Sabrina and Chloe being that they are bsf and got akumatized. What could this tell about their relationship? Also, it's crazy to me how both Sabrina and Chloe as akumatized villains, they either steal LB and CN powers or want to become them. I am sure that Adrien has feelings for Marinette, but since he's been locked up all this time and never really had friends it is unclear to him that he feels like she is more, and if it is he doesn't want to ruin what they already have. Also he is "rejecting" her because he is blinded by his feelings for Ladybug. But remember in Chat Blanc when Adrien told Marinette "I've realized you're not just a friend of mine, I've ALWAYS FELT LIKE YOU WERE MORE THAN THAT". He just confessed he have had feelings for her for a long time, but he was blinded by Ladybug. Once he found out they were the same he realized he could love both without rejecting another. And after he confessed he also said "Now I know why" basically saying he knows they are the same and he can love both.
