They enjoyed the build up, the snatching of the child, the abuse, the murder & the disposal of the body. They took photos of each other standing by the place where they'd buried their victims. I was friends with a guy who had psychopathic tendencies. When I met him, he bragged about using a butcher knife or a gun to scare people. He said he enjoyed making people believe he was going to hurt them or even kill them. He said it brought him joy to see the fear on the person's face. I never really saw that side of him. He did come at me with a steak knife but put it down when I told him he just needed to stop. I was a little taller than him and he knew I didn't play games. I finally walked away from the friendship because of how he treated his pregnant girlfriend. I found out a while later, he was taking all kinds of pills.

Seems to me that during the teen years the brain is in a dangerous stage in that it appears to be more vulnerable to outside influences like drugs, alcohol, social media etc...a head injury during your younger years can retard brain development leading to things like impulse control & an increased need for immediate gratification...often this will come to a head during the teen years where people have less control over their emotions...
