Nikki, I just wanted to say that I appreciate your thoughtfulness about the content of your videos. I must admit that sometimes I watch youtube videos and chuckle at what seems so very obvious to me about how to get things done. But then I remember, I'm 58 and have had years under my belt. Your content is perfect! There are so many who do need a friend to guide them or reassure them that they are on the right track. During all this lockdown, I have found many youtube people I follow, and yes it is like sitting with a friend. Thankyou for being a friend. I discovered through watching you and others, that I had given up. My life has been far from easy, from bad marriages, rebellious kids, my own health issues and the sudden death of my late husband and 7 other family members in 2 years. I'm not trying to get sympathy, it's just the way it is. You have helped me find me again. I got rid of my grubby clothes, ware make up again, cooking better , and just trying to fill my life with beauty again. So, thank you, and keep doing what you are doing. You are making a difference. I really loved this one. About your grandmother's Bible. Well, my mother asked me a while ago what of hers I want for when she passes. I know, not a great subject, but honestly the only thing I want is her Bible. Her first study Bible she got after she became a Christian when I was 11 years old. She told me it was missing pages and was very used but I could have it. One day while visiting, she sent me home with a box of jams and other things. When I got home, I found in that box wrapped in tissue that old Bible. I cried thinking of those early days of my mother reading that Bible and was so thankful I was able to have something so personal of hers.

When my grandma passed away I just was so sad. It was the same month of my Dad’s passing! So two of my favorite people were gone. The grief was almost unbearable even though I knew it was their time. Later the settling of their estates was even more challenging 😥. If I could give any advice to you dear it would be to take time to grieve. Staying super busy just prolongs it. You’re a busy mom of 4 trying to juggle everything. It’s ok to leave the dishes sometimes. It’s ok to smell those flowers and just be. I always love you choices of music 🎶.

My Godmother passed away in early March and I’m helping my cousin and his wife declutter to have an estate sale and sell the home, and it’s really made me rethink the volume of things I have in my home, why I’m keeping certain items, hanging on to other items and I’ve begun the process of clearing out and decluttering my own spaces, the office, laundry room and any and all closets need to be kept tidy and clutter free for me to be happy in my spaces and I don’t want the huge burden of it to be on my children’s shoulders. It’s my job to keep a more minimal home as I get older and be mindful of every time that I bring into my home.

The oldest is from 1804, and quite worn, falling apart, but I read and study Gods word through every year and chose a different one from my collection each year to do my study. Nikki, I am binge watching your videos because I get so much enjoyment and inspiration from them. I wanted to tell you tho, in the season of life you are in, this is ok. As my kids got older, I would take boxes and fill them with stuff, put them out in the garage and, if no one noticed anything gone, I would put the stuff in the garbage. I didnt realize my husband would take most of the stuff out and "store it". We split up and, after 18 months, I was still putting out 6 HUGE trash bins of junk for the trash every single week. We all have different levels of acceptance and you are doing just fine. Do what you can, when you can, which is what you do!

As a content creator I can relate to scruntizing one's videos and thinking about how it will be received. Sometimes I just release it and take a deep breath, the best content is the usually the ones that one thinks people don't want/need. I like this style of video and I feel it resonates the most with me. I admire you helping your grandfather too, my last living grandparent, my grandfather is so special to me. I should call him and let him know so. I could never be a minimalist, I have so many items that tell a story from long ago, gifted and thrifed.... I guess I just prefer my home and belly filled with the things that our family enjoys in life. 🙃

I love this video. Forgive me for asking, but did you grandmother pass? I love that Bible. I’m trying to make a trip back to my home state to get my grandmother’s out of storage before anything happens to it but want to let Covid settle some more, hopefully. My grandmother’s Bible is a memory of her that I can’t even put into words. I walked into her house so, so many times with her sitting at her kitchen table with a cup of coffee and her Bible open with her head bowed in prayer and she wouldn’t even acknowledge me until she was finished with her prayer. Nikki, it is so valuable the content you put out. You are correct in thinking that sometimes people just want to “hang out” with their fave KZbinr or just someone they can connect with. I do the same with my content that I make ahead of time but there was a reason you made that piece of content. It’s Something you wanted to share that you felt would be helpful. I feel like decluttering just watching other people declutter. I agree about teaching our kids these small skills even though they seem trivial, they are not, they’re very important. They are the things that matter. Oh and I love that flower arrangement. Lilacs and carnations are beautiful. I love flowers in general. Take care!😃
