An interesting system, but it still requires open top manual loading with the crew being exposed to incoming rounds and artillery fragmentation. I feel that the British Army ultimately requires the 120mm NEMO Mortar System mounted on Boxer 8x8 as well as, on either an Ajax, CV90 Mk.4 or Lynx KF41 Hull variant.

The crew also being exposed to the pressure waves of their own mortar (and the accompanying potential hearing damage and other drawbacks). Sweden didn't feel that the AMOS/NEMO was quite ready for use and decided to go with their own cheapo option, the Mjolnir. Which is an odd-ball for sure, but has definite advantages over an open-topped mortar.

I think this is a light vehicle system, the SLING being another take on that.

@@2adamast But it seems to be in a slightly pointless middle ground in that it's not nearly as useful for front line deployment as something like AMOS/NEMO or Mjölnir while also being much more expensive then regular infantry carried mortars. Instead of this mortar on the trailer so could you have an entire battery of regular mortars loaded on it to deploy.

@@znail4675 There is team size as well, if this is a two man mortar, compared to a three man to be assembled mortar, the smallest crew is cheapest. Counter fire being possible within minutes, mandatory assembly is also an extra cost

Very good point. Especially considering this is a mortar weapon system which means it's well within range of light attack drones. Just imagine one landing stright into the mortar compartment and detonating all the munitons.
