For those wondering from the beginning, autopsies and embalmings are in fact different. Autopsies involve performing surgical cutting to determine cause of death. So that would be performed by a coroner. Embalming processes are specific to making bodies last longer and look better in there state after death. By this time, cause of death had already been determined by a coroner. This process is done by morticians.

To add to this, coroners are not necessarily medical examiners, especially in larger political areas. In smaller rural areas they are probably performing autopsies and investigating personally, but it's an elected position and technically requires no training.

Also to add to this, in the animal world, an autopsy is called a necropsy. It is performed part by part by a pair of people called docents, usually vet techs. A veterinarian will then review the findings afterward. Animals will only be preserved for museums and they send someone out to do the job. Though docents can be trained to preserve certain parts of the body if needed. (I am a former vet tech that has been a docent a couple of times)

Couple tips, a smiling body is in fact always possessed, HOWEVER that 2nd body you did in the video always has a little smirk so it throws you off. Obviously demon marks, twitches, and gashes on the chest or back that violently appear ((like the ones at 34:40 coincidentally the always smiling guy)) always are the demon. The one that I use all the time are the morgue door slams as the one that slams ((if only one slams)) is always the demon. A lot of easy tells actually.. Also the demon sigils are linked to your sanity so if you go through a bunch of events or take a while you can get the name of the demon before fully embalming anyone. Oh and you should take the audio tapes and listen to them during a hallucination they also have some unique lines for you! Much love, love this game ♡

Hi! Mortician here! Being a mortician is generally a team effort! While one person may be better with restorative art, another may be better with fine-turning of the embalming mixture, or may be more skilled with a specific type of restorative art such as feature reconstruction for things like ears, noses, and more.

@@languid-4535 thats the job of a pathologist (forensice pathologist) the coroner examines the scene, such as the place of a car crash or so, morticians just clean up the bodies to prepare them for an open casket.

@@languid-4535 Yup basically what Katjuhhh said, though in some very small, rural towns they may act as both embalmer and coroner still today. We're required however to know the cause of death so that way we can properly treat the body. For example, if someone had passed from liver complications, we would need to know that because that individual could have high bilirubin counts. Why that's important is due to how bilirubin interacts with formaldehyde, turning a person green in the preservation process.

So an autopsy is typically done by a forensic pathologist. A medical examiner can also perform the same duty, so long as they have the required credentials. Typically they are performed when a death occurs outside of a medical setting (hospital) but can also be done in special cases or per family request.

Also, it's kind of a shame to me that KZbin decides to demonetize videos because of dark content. Like, yes technically a hanging person could be depicting suicide, and in this case it most likely is, but the context behind why it's there matters. The thing that bugs me the most is that it has nothing to do with the sensibilities of the videos' audience, it has everything to do with what advertisers are comfortable putting their ads on - because apparently they think that their ads get associated with the videos they run on. This is the most scariest game for me. (I can't watch this ghastly horror full of jumpscares and also the embalming process has very crazy amount of steps) The embalming process is too scary (probably because you have to do it close as hell and just do every single thing which makes me nervous... Try coming back to game another time when you feel better and confident about it if you still wanna play the game. Also stress is a matter of effect that changes how you can endure horror content. Stress in life can get you weak and be scared more often if you have stress going on in your life. Just wait awhile and give some time. :))

From everything I can tell from hearing about KZbin's monetization appeal system, the bulk of it is handled by AI. Odds are, the "swearing in the first 7 seconds" thing was something that an AI caught because of poor voice-recognition, flagged it, and then when you appealed the same AI system checked it again and went "yup, sounds like swears", so nothing changed, until a real person looked at it - likely because someone heard you talking about it.

By the way, the interaction where you're at the computer and the shadow guy walks up to you happened in your first or second run, but specifically it was after you started going through the material Raymond put in the Night Shift system, and in particular it spawned immediately after you finished watching the video of Raymond showing the feet twitching. The moment that video ended is when the shadow guy spawned. Not sure if it's related, but I haven't seen you watch that video again since then - granted I've only seen like half of your Mortuary Assistant videos.

I love The Mortuary Assistant so much!! Funnily enough, personally I see it more as a comfy game than a horror game, once you realize it's not very in your face trying to kill you horror, it feels relatively calm. I also just absolutely love discovering the lore of this game!! (yes, I am a koi) But this was really fun to watch! To the point at the start, i don't think this game mastered this genre, the huge problem is how mundane&repeatable doing the bodies is, it's a powerful action at first but on 2nd 3rd and so on runs, doing the bodies loses the atmosphere, it's too repeatable. Prob working with autopsy instead (that could have variety in actions) would bring way more atmosphere, you really want that Welcome to The Game effect where primary action/mechanic pulls you in strong enough for you to tunnel vision and let the jumpscares to creep in the background (which does exist on the first run in MA, just it quickly expires as work with bodies is too mundane, mindless and rigid).
