Another argument for the thesis that the Essenes had a different version of the Torah with pretty different morality (without animal sacrifices etc), as I already thought from those Jeremiah verses (and sources such as Philo).

Jeremiah 15:16 Your words were found, and I ate them; And your word became to me the exultation and the rejoicing of my heart, For your name has been called on me, O Jehovah God of armies. Revelation 10:9  I went to the angel and told him to give me the little scroll. He said to me: “Take it and eat it up, and it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet like honey.” 10 I took the little scroll out of the hand of the angel and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet like honey, but when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter. 11 And they said to me: “You must prophesy again about peoples and nations and tongues and many kings.” Since the scroll was open and not sealed, it was something that was to be understood. It was “sweet” to John to get the message contained therein but apparently had bitter things for him to prophesy, as he was told to do. (Re 10:1-11) Ezekiel had a similar experience with the scroll presented to him in which there were “dirges and moaning and wailing.”-Eze 2:10. The prophet Jeremiah loved Scriptural truth. Notice the effect that God’s words had on his heart. “Your words were found, and I ate them; and your word became to me the exultation and the rejoicing of my heart, for your name has been called on me, O Jehovah God of armies.” (Jer. 15:16) Jeremiah figuratively ate and digested God’s precious words by meditating on them. In that way he developed a heartfelt appreciation for the privilege of having God’s name called on him. Has our love for Bible truth moved us to recognize the unique privilege we have to bear God’s name and to proclaim his Kingdom in this time of the end? We are certainly not talking about literal scrolls made of papyri or any other substance.

Those who survive The Great Tribulation sing the song of Moses and of the Lamb. Revelation 15:2 And I saw something like a sea of glass+ mingled with fire, and those who are victorious+ over the wild beast and its image+ and the number of its name+ were standing by the sea of glass, holding harps of God. 3 They were singing the song of Moses+ the slave of God and the song of the Lamb,+ saying: “Great and wonderful are your works,+ Jehovah* God, the Almighty.+ Righteous and true are your ways,+ King of eternity.+ 4 Who will not really fear you, Jehovah,* and glorify your name, for you alone are loyal?+ For all the nations will come and worship before you,+ because your righteous decrees have been revealed.”

Prophets were called "seerers" because they were given visions and even names of future places, characters and events that will come. David writes about Messiah, Joseph is a prelude to our Messiah, Genesus 49:10 again, more about him that will come. And of course there are so much more, most of scripture is about the anointed one which is the new covenant, remember the Lord will provide his own Lamb and ge did! The 10 commandments are just 2500 old cooked verses that won't fit for the present time. Three are repeated and out of the remaining seven, the first one is just stupidity. When God is one and ultimate power why would he fear another God? Second and third make God just a man. The next four are human morals and common sense, with nothing Godly in them. In fact, Greek, Indian and modern philosophers taught better morals than religious teachings.

"Imagine sitting on the mount of Moses and having to write genesis 1 to deut . . in stone." Weeks, it would take years. But I would happily chisel the Torah in stone as long as I wasnt the the poor sucker who had to carry around the Torah. So the put it in the Ark, could you just imagine the torah on stone inside a wooden, gold and stone ark. Four guys carrying it. I remember a prank we played in high school on time where we picked up that back of some dudes fancy sports car and put it into the bus lane. I took like 10 guys to pick up the back of the car and move (This was the mid 70s so 4500 lbs + 22 gallon gas tank). Imagine 4 guys carrying several dozen stone tablets. All day long. To be critical. 13th to 15th cBCE paleohebrew DOES NOT EXIST! Earlier linear might, but its going to be an intermediate between Protosinaitic and Phonecian and clearly distinguishable from paleohebrew. So the punctuation marks and other features are going to be interpretive (added). Quite honestly, to that point all legal codices in the east part of the levant, its got to be cunieform or it did not happen.

So, you are a linguistics Archeologist?
@Darisiabgal7573
@Darisiabgal7573 Жыл бұрын
@@shainazion4073 Lol, no. Just an addition. Making Cuneiform law tablets in the 15th century is a very doable thing. You could transport them around once fire and laid between straw and wood sleeves. Such documents were used as letters in the Amarna period which end in 1175 BCE. I mean you could hire an akkadian scribe to read the tablets so that clergy can memorize them. But that all vanishes with the LBAC. If you gave a cleric a cypher, he probably could read such a tablet because canaanite and Akkadian at that time where mutually intelligible, particukarly in El Elyon circles. But the problem is the Hebrew Bible gives us no evidence what-so-ever that this happened. In fact the Hebrew bible does not tell us anything about scribes in the period of Judges and Samuel, a 1000 year period. And this makes sense when we consider that paleohebrew is maybe early 10th century. So the Question would be why Moses wrote the Torah in some unknown script, there was no writting for several hundred years, and then Yahwist start suddenly writing again. Its a puzzle. Most scolars that still believe in Moses favor a late chronology, the writing issue might factor into it a tiny bit. There is 12th century 'phonecian' running around. To the lay, its a bit more sophisticated than the lithic inscriptions found earlier in the southern levant. We are left with two choices. 1. A borrowing and remake of Hammurabi like law found at Hazor 1700-1800 BCE, in cuneiform. 2. A later law done in early linear or protosinaitic, done in a very crude literary style.

This hypothesis makes a lot of sense. I noticed that Josiah was the first King to get the Judeans to honor the Feast of Booths. This didn't make sense to me because it implied that every Jew before then had disregarded a festival they were supposed to hold. This included everyone before Josiah including King David, a man after God's own heart. It makes more sense to me that Judah had a version of commandments from Elohim followers that was added to at a much later date. Definitely getting this book

@@shainazion4073 The Kuntillet ‘Ajrud inscriptions mention blessings by the names of YHWH of Samaria (Yehowa, God of Israel) and YHWH of Teman (Yahweh, God of Israelites). Like all ancient Near Eastern gods, these two regional gods must have had central temples. This article examines their possible locations and suggests that the combination of the Kuntillet ‘Ajrud inscriptions with the eighth-century prophecies of Amos and Hosea holds the key for identifying these. In light of a detailed analysis of Hosea’s and Amos’ prophecies, it is further suggested that YHWH of Samaria was the name of the major God of the Kingdom of Israel and his main temple was located at Bethel, and that YHWH of Teman was the name of the God of the southern desert regions and his temple was located at Beer-sheba. Israelite traders who traveled southward probably visited the latter god’s temple, offered him sacrifices, made vows to repay him if they succeed in the expedition, and thus turned him to be their patron god during their travel in the desert region. This suggested identification explains why the Judahite cult place of Beer-sheba appears in Amos’ prophecy alongside the Israelite sanctuaries of Bethel, Gilgal, and Dan.

THE FATHER Loved All HIS creation! 🚫Flesh Eating and burnt Offerings: This really deep deception!!! Going through our cannon there are several verses that ABA NEVER wanted any blood sacrifices!!! This is very understandable if we go back to The Garden of Eden and and OUR CREATOR’S original intent for man! Our food was vegetation. THE FATHER is The CREATOR of life!!! How could HE take pleasure in burning of any flesh ???!!! Supporting verses: Psalm 50:7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God. 8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me. 9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. 10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. 13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: 15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. 16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? 17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee. Jeremaiah 7: 21 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. 22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: 23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. 24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. 25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them: 26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers. Isaiah 1: 10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. 11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. 12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? 13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. 14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. 15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? 2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. 3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. 4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. Food Was Bread: Deuteronomy 9:17 And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes. 18 And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you Nehemiah 9:15 And (a)gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and (b) broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they (c)should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them. Cross References: a. Numbers 14:30 Exodus 16:14,15 John 6:31 b. Exodus 17:6 Numbers 20:9-13 c. Deu 1:8 You might think how could there be this contradiction in are Bibles???!!! But The Holy men of THE MOST HIGH GOD sent HIS Prophet to rebellious Kings, Priests, and False Prophets. Jeremiah 8: 1 At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves: 2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. 3 And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts. SIN AND TREACHERY 4 Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return? 5 Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return. 6 I hearkened and heard, butthey spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle. 7 Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD. 8 How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain. 9 The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them? Jeremiah 16: 19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. 20 Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?

Funny, the mere fact that you did this interview places doubt upon the authenticity of this manuscript. Then, I don't know what it says, but there is already an indication that it contradicts scripture, which I have every reason to believe as being inspired, and that makes me even more sceptical. It seems that the only way to get any further information is by reading this book. That looks like a sales pitch and makes me even more sceptical. Truth is, I won't hang my hat on anything said or written here, even though I'd like to read the scroll for myself. Perhaps it doesn't contradict scripture at all. Time will tell.

The last verse is written by somebody else, it's a compilation. Which is true this one or the Biblical one. More proof is needed. Somebody writes about accounts, another may collect those accounts together and publish them. The person publishing the accounts gives a retrospective. A person finding an old book, or publishing a retrospective, may update the names of places in the book, and older language, to more current ones, at least the ones he thinks are right. Si, finding a very old lost book after extensive falling away, is a distinct possibility, and bringing it into the current language usage of the day. There have also been misalignments in historical time lines, and I would say deliberately to present a false picture. Also, presumptions have been used to attack the Bible. Was it originally camels, horses or mules that were used in the bible and mistranslated or we don't know our history on camels. With the above simple statements, the arguments here dissipate. There needs to be more rigorous research. The arguments in the video are very Germanic, not considering the the expanse of what happens in real life. The silver scrolls. Proof not a forgery? Certain people will go to extreme lengths to fool people, and live the lie. They will take things sideways, estimate, forge work trying to work out the forged work. Where's the proof it wasn't. I want to know if it was or wasn't? However, and this is going be a bit ironic, given that the interviewee reminds me of the following person. Ron Wyatt recorded many discoveries before the Ark of the Covenant, which is still in place, and people can still detect the extensive gold of around 50 feet down, with other evidence of what happened there. With the Ark, he also filmed the two tablets with the ten commandments. The footage is being withheld till a later date, but there was something about the ten commandments. Have a look at the video, the Ron Wyatt discoveries. I read one article that alleged the manuscript was possible in Sydney and burnt in a house fire, but convenient answers are not always true.

“Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh. For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. But this command I gave them: ‘Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. And walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’ But they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked in their own counsels and the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. From the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have persistently sent all my servants the prophets to them, day after day. Yet they did not listen to me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did worse than their fathers.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭7‬:‭21‬-‭26‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The burnt offering was for God alone, and no one could eat of it. The sacrifices could be eaten by the priests and their families. The idea is God is not happy with Israel, and will not accept the burnt offering. Nowhere in Jeremiah chapter 7 does god say he never spoke about burnt offerings and sacrifices. He only says he did not do so on the day he brought them out of the land of Egypt. To make the accusation the fundamentalist hate this verse or don’t read it is absolutely silly. I honestly think the author here needs to read it in it’s context because a 5 year old does a better job of understanding this, than himself.

It's ridiculous to believe that Moses have written the Pentateuch, considering that he came from the line of Levi, while the Septuagint in general is a canonical tradition of Judah, so there's a huge abyss between those two, what makes it possible that this "moses scroll" is coming from some lost tradition of the Levites, but it's also ridiculous to propose a random document which is completely foreign to every historical institution that came from Temple-Judaism, and claim that this document is the original source of the Judaic tradition.

@@ivanos_95 the septuagint was originally a Greek translation of the first five books of moses called the torah in Hebrew. It then later had the rest of the old testament combined with it. What it seems you're referring to is called the TaNaKh. The Hebrew Bible or Hebrew old testament. It stands for Torah, Nevaim(prophets), Ketuvim(writings...such as psalms and proverbs) Pentateuch means the five scrolls. LXX means the Seventy. Septuagint is the seventy written in letters, not numbers as LXX. The Pentateuch came from 70 Jewish translators to translate into Greek. The LXX/Septuagint IS the Pentateuch/Torah.
@ivanos_95
@ivanos_95 Жыл бұрын
@@garlandjones7709 The main intent behind the Septuagint was to standardize the whole of Old Covenant or Tanakh in a single language. @@ivanos_95 this is the second reply I've encountered today where the message i replied to appears to have been edited with no mention. Either way, this post of yours is mainly accurate. I will lay emphasis on one issue. The Septuagint as is being called, as an old testsment translation, is NOT the TRUE Septuagint. I'll repeat. The septuagint IS/WAS the Torah. Pentateuch only. Now you concede that this was done earlier and that is true. However, it was done by 70/72 Jewish scholars and was held in high regard by the rabbis. The rest of the old testament later added to the LXX was not done by that group of 70 scholars, used different styles of translation, rearranged orders of books, and left parts of books out, etc. And was frowned upon in Rabbinic circles. I'm aware that most people associate them as the same thing today, but thst was not originally so. It's also interesting to me that the rabbis in the time of Jesus to the 2nd century 500 years after the translation seem to understand the LXX as just the pentateuch. They also had a different translation we don't have anymore either, though and that never gets mentioned by anyone I'm aware of

So the " Words" are a spiritual translation. Mostly through channeling or possession. No matter the scribe same entity speaking. In Hebrews he ask the reader " Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs to salvation? God does not communicate with us any longer. In this human form, but the angels or a entity does intercede for us. God judges in the congregation of the gods. So He's only correcting the lower gods who are being worshiped , By their fruits.
@youngknowledgeseeker
@youngknowledgeseeker Жыл бұрын
That seems at least somewhat accurate. Intermediaries. The Angel of the Lord, Moses. Acts purports that the Law was given through Angels, its their argument as to why Jesus is a greater revelation, gift and truth. It's far more direct access to God than through a series of intermediaries. I think the New Testament, especially John, purports that God has spoken to us very directly in Jesus. No Angel of the Lord to speak to Jesus then Jesus speaks to us. No Angels administering the Law to Moses who then administers it to us. But God directly in and with Jesus speaking to us. In and through Jesus yes, but no intermediary between them. So John records or writes Philip asking Jesus to show us the Father/God and Jesus says “Have I been with you for so long a time, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? The one who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own, but the Father, as He remains in Me, does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves". The word/plans of God made flesh. Tabernacling directly with us. It's so fascinating! I'm not sure if your familiar with "the law of agency". www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/894-agency-law-of --- if not then this concept may be an explanation for why for early Israelites when Angels seem to be clearly referenced people still talk as if it was seemingly God himself. One more thing, not sure if your familiar with Dr. Michael Heiser, your probably are, but he has shown that the Torah gives the idea to its ancient readers and us that God indeed gave the world over to his creations that some deem "lesser deities". And either they were bad from the start and that was our curse, or that God gave it to them in good faith to shepherd us in his name and they became corrupted. And so now God has been reclaiming this world and its people one by one. First Abraham the man. Then Israel the country. Then Jesus to the whole world. And now we wait for the final and utter and permanent reclaiming at Jesus coming.

Shirley I would like to add, rather than possession, the New Testament says the scriptures are God-breathed. So I don't think it was dictation for the most part. Not possession.
