The Moss Stitch: Easy and Reversible

This simple stitch is so versatile. It is easy and completely reversible. You only need to know the knit and purl stitch. The stitch pattern is the same knitted flat as it is for knitting in the round. It's a great stitch to use for almost any knitting project.

Cast on a multiple of 4 stitches
Row 1: K2, P2, repeat
Row 2: K2, P2, repeat
Row 3: P2, K2, repeat
Row 4: P2, K2, repeat

Hello. I'm not quite understand what you are asking for here. But if you are looking for a video that shows how to knit this stitch with the working yarn in your right hand, there are several videos on KZbin showing this. This is sometimes also called the double moss stitch. Below is a link of a video I found which has the yarn in the right hand. I'm doing a blanket with hearts in moss stitch. I'm getting confused after I've had to purl 40 or knit 40 and it says continue in moss stitch. Does that mean I always begin with a knit stitch as I ended up with 2 knitted stitches on my first row after I did the border after m1?
