Footage actually looks quite decent but the exposure and white balance could definately be better. Seems to be flying quite stable as well which of course would be expected for that price. I have to agree with some other users though about getting the spark instead if you're gonna invest a more significant amount of money for a drone where you'll get much better performance a better video.

Question regarding the "Calibration sequence" it is easy to do the rotations of the 3 axis on this small drone but how do they calibrate the drones that are really big(greater than 1M across)? I was hoping newer flight controllers made this un neccesary.

I would love to own a DJI, specifically the Phantom 4 pro obsidian. However after reading all the horror stories about nonexistent customer support, mandatory firmware updates that basically ruin the aircraft and other problems I'm really hesitant to pull the trigger and drop almost 2 gran on this.

Identical, only to a blind man with no fingers. It looks vaguely similar and that's about all. It's cheap and it's nasty and in no way flies anything like a Mavic. No sensors, lousy gimbal and probably a 100 other differences. Can you still get full video return at 5 + miles? Does it have Occusync? will it avoid obstacles in front? does it have a downward facing sensors to help with clearance and hovering? Does it fly for 25 minutes on one battery, does it allow for head tracking with either the quad itself or the camera? can you buy insurance for it where if you crash it you can get a replacement? Is it backed by a proper warranty and not the iffy Banggood or Gearbest type. Does it have good quality plastics and not the usual brittle garbage most toy grade quads are made from? If it was any good, people would be flocking to buy one. DJI would be in panic mode. The only thing intelligent flyers would be doing is having a good laugh over someone dumb enough to make stupid statements about it being "almost identical in every way" It's either identical or it's not and in this case it's definitely not. It's just another in the long line of wannabee knockoffs. Poorly made with poorly designed motherboards and cheap components. Made to imitate, but not made to last. But the kids will buy it if only for the 10 minutes of shouting "look at me, look what I've got" More concerned about appearing cool than buying something of quality. Wasting money has never been cool and owning cheap knockoffs is very uncool. But if you wish to dream about owning the real thing, go right ahead, you're only fooling yourself if you believe you have anything vaguely resembling a Mavic Pro.

Bob I'm 70 and I've done the cheap quad game. It's taken a while, but believe me, save your money. Buy yourself a Bugs 3 and fly the hell out of it and when it's worn out, invest in a DJI . They're chalk and cheese mate. Or simply start saving right now. If you can fly the cheap junk a MAvic or Spark will be a breeze to fly. If you're an Aussie and live near the Namoi, let me know and we can arrange to meet and I'll happily give you a demo of what a real quadcopter is. If I wanted to I could program the Mavic to take off, fly anywhere within a 7Km radius, shoot whatever footage I want and fly back home whilst I'm not even near the controller. How about flying the Mavic whilst wearing the DJI goggles. If I look to my left, I have the choice of either the camera panning to the left or the whole Mavic turning left. Anywhere I point my head the Mavic will follow suit. If it's battery is running low, it will send me a warning, if I don't fly it home and the battery gets lower it'll simply fly itself back to where it took off. If the wind has come up and it can't get all the way home it'll find somewhere safe to land and I will have the GPS coordinates so I can go pick it up. If I'm flying and stupid enough to be distracted when it's flying straight at a tree or building, lamp post etc, it'll either fly around it or just stop very quickly and warn me there's something blocking it's path. It has all the advanced flight modes like follow me etc. Just don't do as a lot of people do, get fooled by people who make stupid statements regarding the abilities of cheap quadcopters. The toy grade and most of the hobby grade quads are made strictly to a price and as that old saying goes, you only get what you pay for. ignore the wannabees putting DJI down, most of them are jealous of anyone who owns one and they'll say anything in an attempt to show how clever they are. In truth they have no idea of what a really good quad consists of. They'll argue all day that some $300 cheap and nasty quad is as good or better than something costing 3 or 4 times more. They cost more because you not only get more, but you get the quality. You won't have ESCs or motors burning out or the flight controller shutting down as some of them are renowned for. Check out the reviews on KZbin, but understand many of the so called specialists have only just bought their quads and they think that automatically makes them a true hobbyist. They rely on what they've seen and heard others say and quite often the advice they give is anything but reliable. I see them popping up every day, Overnight know-it-alls who cause more damage than they save. I've even caught on guy trying to help another and he was in turn asking another guy on another FaceBook page the exact same question as he was answering. Just be careful who's help you accept as genuine. Find someone who's been in the game for at least a few years, the more the better and stick with him. A good indication is how many subscribers he has, but even that can be misleading. Ask as many questions as you can and compare the answers you get, you'll quickly find the fakes. I'm sure you're old enough to spot a fake anyway. Good luck and happy flying Bob.

Here my experience; I was not loking for a long distance drone... I was not looking for a 4k camera... i was looking for a foldable drone to carry with me on my trekking to make same stunning video... It worked as designed for 30 minutes total more or less a battery charged one and a quarter... then radio of drone stopped working... no chance to contact Cfly support on any of their mail, and guys, i get a new product gone afteter a week and 30 minutes flight... so the product is good if you r not planning to fly more to 30 minutes or you are luky it will fly more... in case of support request you are strictly alone with an expensive unusable drone!

For those MORONS that carry on that "Its not as good a a Mavic Pro" OF COURSE NOT, BUT it is ONLY 1/3 of the price. So is a Mavic Pro worth 3 times one of these little units OF COURSE NOT. A dji mavic pro is actually 3 times as good as this drone.. Maybe closer to 10x. It has way way more range and features and does not glitch out like that one does, I have seen several reviews on this drone already and every single person had a problem with it. I don't know why your so hostile, for just a little bit more you can buy a dji spark which is also 3 times as good as this drone in all reality. The range on the c fly is terrible and it's extremely cheap compared to a dji product.

Most people I know have had nothing but trouble with their DJI drones, many have spent months back at DJI being fixed. Why would I buy a DJI Spark for $800 when I can get all the same features on a drone for less than $200. Maybe we should buy a DJI Tello and get all the same features for $180 that we can get on a $75 drone. Some of us are not impressed with marketing and hype, we just look at a product from a value for money basis, on this basis the DJI fail big time in my humble opinion

Okay first off the fly more combo for the spark,is $549, and the spark alone is only like $380, there isn't a single $200 dollar drone out there that can compete with a dji. I do not own a dji and have baught many drones and they all let me down because they are toys and do not perform as advertised. I know many people who own dji's, seen lots of reviews, no problems. To each their own but you do not have your facts straight. Also the drone in this video on a good day has a range of a third of a mile, on a good day. So unless you just want to fly straight up and look,at your neighbor hood it's pretty lame, dji spark has his over 2 miles with range boosters and 1 1/2 miles out of the box. Fly whatever you want but you get what you pay for especially when it comes to a drone.
