They were bought out by a group that donates mostly to radical anti gun democrats so the behavior last year isn't surprising

A very fair comparison of these two lower tier gun safes. Great for those who can only afford this type of protection or may only need this type of protection. Good video guy. Suggestion...Why not step up the game and show two or three of the lowest cost RSC rated gun safes. That would be interesting.

I worked at a dealership that sold liberty's. In my 8 years of delivering for that store i been to many houses after break in attempts. Those centurion safes actually held up in smash and grab break in attempts. Those flat bars held up to the point that the theifs left. The centurion used to be made with the better welding by folding the one piece of steel and a robot made the welds on the back of the safe. I dont know if the browning is china made but chinese safes are notorious for poor welding and the welds are on the front of the safe making them vulnerable in a pry attack. These safes are only really good for keeping kids out of the safe and a fast smash a grab break- ins. Other than that save your money and invest in a American security bf series safe.

@@mike4769 Thanks, Mike! Same here, I couldn’t tell you how many CN24’s I’ve seen survive brute force attacks and even some fires. The BX family of safes are China made, yes and they utilize continuous welding. ProSteel isn’t going to put their name on it if it’s not up to their standards. As I understand it, there is a TL rating that has to do with actually breaking in the safes. What are the ratings of these?

@@davidMW007 TL is a rating, yes, and within TL there are multiple ratings. However, these are not TL rated, they are RSC (residential safety containers).

Hello I really appreciate all the comparison videos you do on the various safes. One thing I would like to see as a perspective buyer of a safe that is considered higher end (not big box store) is removing the interior door panels and showing us the bolt works, linkages and everything that goes into the door. everyone can look up dimensions, box thickness etc, but I think seeing how the door is constructed from the outside to inside workings would be huge for buyers.

Heard that safe manufacturer's will turn over acess codes to govt upon request. Is this True?

@@thatdude9029 Has it happened, yes. Specifically most everyone is referring to last September when the FBI was conducting an investigation with a judge ordered search warrant. They reached out to the manufacturer of the safe on site where they were conducting the search, Liberty. The agent in charge first call and then emailed a copy of his credentials, a copy of the search warrant and the serial number of the safe. Apparently the lock had never been changed from the factory code. However, the likelihood of this happening again, from any safe manufacturer, is exceptionally unlikely. For example, Liberty has completely rewritten their policies & added the verbiage unless a subpoena with Liberty specifically named would be the only chance of them giving any information. And with that they also said in the policy they will reach out to the owner on file before moving forward. This is actually a very important change as all safe manufacturing companies will likely rewrite their existing policies to be the same.

@@A1LocksmithofTexaswe have to add they gave the proprietary master code for the digital keypads so now the FBI has the code to every non retrofitted electronic keypad safe

@ We actually made a whole video about it last year when it happened. But I wanna be clear, there is no code that opens every single safe. Each keypad has its own, which obviously customers can ask to not have one. We also have a video on resetting your lock to remove any saved data on our channel. Thanks for watching!

The liberty safes are untrustworthy since they give backdoor access to law enforcement with no questions asked, aiding and abetting unlawful seizures. unfortunately the Browning is exactly the same safe, made by the exact same people, on the exact same production line, with the exact same parts sold by the exact same vendors. The only difference is the paint, neither should be trusted as safes.

@@mrfawkes9110 Thanks for watching. The Liberty gun safes are made in Utah at Liberty’s manufacturing plant. The Browning ProSteel BX series in this video is actually made over seas, although ProSteel does make many of their safes in Utah.

@@RadRich5932 How many long guns and how many pistols?? That’s what it boiled down to a fella in the store the other day. He preferred the modularity of the BX in the end. He said all of his pistols fit on the door, he could stack and adjust long guns on both sides of the center divider & that the elevated floor was nice.

@@RadRich5932 Honestly both would carry you for a while. Still have lots of room for important documents, ammunition, pictures, etc. If there could be only one….BX has a little more fire protection and more modularity, but it’s made overseas. CN32 absolutely will would work and American made. Black with silver writing on the door OR dark charcoal gray with black writing on the door????
