Huskies are the best! My Mom adopted a Husky when I was a baby. Her name was Tika. We were the same age. She passed away when both of us were 10. For Christmas, my parents got another Husky, a male we named Rocky. My brother and I loved him. He passed away a few years ago at the age of 13. Both dogs we taught "I wooffe yooouu!" Rip Tika & Rocky.

@@deanbryant3176, I know what you're 'saying' and I agree, however, I must say that NO, it's NOT surprising AT ALL, in fact, quite the opposite, it's such completely natural canine (or any mammalian) behavior - and dogs - who understand love (often better than most humans) will always naturally behave this way. I just wish all humans would take the 'duty of care' responsibility seriously. Dogs are "man's best friend" but "man" has failed - and continues to fail, in general, his best friend. Anyway, peace and joy to you.🐕🐾😊

Worth the dedication of BOTH Floppy and his parents, he has made extraordinary progress. From his uncontrolled flailing in the beginning, to conquering stairs on his own (I heard my nephew, when he was 2 yr, "I can do dis, all my byself!" And, finally, as an adult, still wobbly, but having so much more control. You are all an unbeatable team! God bless you all. ❤❤❤

Re: King, this is the recipe. Luckily he was rescued - but as you found he changed in a home with another dog. If pre-rescues can be integrated with other dogs in a foster environment, prospective furever adopters see the true dog, not its kill-shelter, terrified and reactive self.

Shelters need to have staff that actually know about dog psychology, going into a shelter can make a dog do a 180, you can find aggressive dogs recess into their own minds and become alot less aggressive and docile dogs can become aggressive especially becoming a fear aggressor, shelters are alien to dogs, they are naturally pack animals, their pack maybe other dogs or even humans, no dog will act naturally when placed in a kennel where they are normally in solitary confinement, yes they may have neighbours but they can't really interact with them and also the neighbours change so they often can't even form bonds with them. This is when foster parents are perfect as they can actually see how a dog will act in a home environment, they can tell if a dog will get on with other dogs or if he needs only humans in his pack. Taking on a special needs dog is amazing, it's not for everyone but I'm so glad there are people who will take them on and give them they love they deserve 💖

Th see bond we’re lucky enough to have as humans is incredible . This is why we need to treat them better 1000 years of looking out for each other , I’d say we have to do better . I think everybody should go in a high kill shelter at least once in their life to see just what I mean …🐶🙏🏼❤

Huskies are not really aggressive but they can become overly exited at times. But any dog can be loving or aggressive or have any other personalities, it all depends on how u train or nurture your dog, although sometimes professional training may be required,

I have seen a particular rescue which most people watch and he rescues dogs that are lost hopes to most shelters or even rescues And when he puts them in his pack with his other dogs they change immediately a lot of these dogs have forgotten how to dog. Also I have sensory issues going in the back of our animal shelter where the dogs are is insanely overwhelming because it's so loud Can you imagine how horrible it is for them because their hearing is way better than ours. It must literally drive them insane it's why they're all turned inward and sheltered because their brains have to shut off.
